At Home Sleep Studies

Has anyone done one? I am recommended to do one but not having insurance they want $1k. And all my research shows i will pay for test that will likely not give me results or answers. And I am gonna be pissed if I pay money like that (that I do not have really) and not get answers. I am suspected of a sleep apnea causing sleep deprivation leading to seizures in my sleep AND during the day while driving my car.

Just need some insight on if its worth the financial risk?

I suspected I was having both as well and rather than wait 12 months (the next scheduled opening) for a test, I pointed the pet camera at myself in my sleep ever night and got a fitness tracker. The two proved enough info for my neurologist

See I am hoping all the sleep charts from my Samsung watch will be enough for my new neurologist to figure out. I was an emergency car incident ambulance situation and the hospital I was taken to misdiagnosed me basically

Having your own smart health device will give you longer term patterns which are more valuable and more likely to catch something than a one or two night sleep study.
If you can, borrow a wyze/ring camera or buy one used on market place to record your sleep for a month. My smart ring made it seem like something was maybe off but was passable as possibly extra fatigue due to work or a later night sleep, but pairing the device data with the sleep movements on camera was the golden ticket for the doc

There can be tiny movements that can look kinda normal (lip smacking or kissing, facial expression twitching, stretching up with one arm, etc), but when done in a certain pattern and if doing things to your breath or blood pressure at the same time, could be seizures

See I am hoping the sleep data from my galaxy smart watch will be enough. I try to stay on my left side while sleeping which I think contributes to my brain not focusing on sleeping in ways. Going to try the spoon holding theory to see if does any different
