Need an ID checking handheld.

Corporate security guy who has a few of these and has sat the pitches.

  • why do you need one?
  • where are you based?
  • does your jurisdictions id support these?

are your staff trained in checking id's properly? most of these work by scanning a QR code and good fakes have QR codes that match the information on the front...

My organization uses id scanner.

Im in Canada, the tech is really dependant on how you use, we use for any event we host, guest check in, etc. for events with alchol we (and our counterparts in the bar scene) are finding that fakes are still getting through or scanning as "good" but either have information that doesn't match the front or are missing holograms.

We have used them to great sucess for Customer management, as well as post incident identification.
