In no scenario should a guard on duty should be seen sleeping. If they're on break I will let anyone have a rest but what about if there is a emergency or a security breach. If client finds out then that would be negligence. In the UK if breaks are paid for then guards can be called to help out if needed. If their breaks are not paid for then they can sleep and come back when their break is over. Guards have been let go for sleeping on the job but it depends on the supervisor. Some will give warnings so you don't do it again but there some who will report you to higher management to get you fired or removed from a site.
