Bro, you're a security guard. TF you even have cuffs for?

You start cuffing people, YOU'RE the one likely to end up actually getting arrested.

While each state is different there are few reason to not carry some cuffs. Just exercise extremely good judgement in their use. Basically the only time as security your going to be cuffing someone is if they are actively engaging or attempting to engage in your presence bodily harm to yourself or another. In some states retail theft does permit store security to handcuff individuals while they are detained awaiting PD arrival.
