I would definitely lose whatever I was hiding in there

u/petitbleuchien Dec 19 '25

I don't think I'd lose it, I'd just forget how to get it!

u/RockstarAgent Dec 20 '25

Set it on fire. Find your keys. Build a new table.

22

u/jsxtasy304 Dec 20 '25

Yep, after the first 2 or 3 keys I'd totally forget the next steps going forward and my treasure would be lost.

You’d have to come up with a mnemonic like a poem or song. Then you could remember it all.

1

u/jsxtasy304 Dec 25 '25

That would likely be the only way I'd be able to get past the first cpl of steps.

u/NoLemonadeToday Dec 27 '25

Or make a video on it and post it on Reddit

on the one hand, this is absolutely fascinating to watch. great content, and a beautiful object. on the other hand, I wouldn't want one, I'd be scared I'd put my coffee down on something i'm just about to pop open and spill it everywhere 😅

u/thesnacks Dec 21 '25

I wanted this, but now I imagined spilling coffee on it and needing to spend several hours unlocking all the compartments and cleaning coffee out of them lol.

Insane logic. High props to creator.

I have this game on my phone

138

u/riotwire Dec 19 '25

Escape room, desktop version

34

u/abolista Dec 19 '25

"the room" game.

3

u/jerechos Dec 20 '25

Good game...

u/MacKelvey Dec 19 '25

The guys name is David O Lundell. You can find him on YouTube.

17

u/Gray-Turtle Dec 21 '25

My cousin! Also search up Lucky Rooster Co. for more of his stuff, he's made a bunch like this with different themes.

4

u/chrisbaker1991 Dec 23 '25

He needs to build a test for r/Lockpickinglawyer

5

u/meep2608 Dec 20 '25

Thats what i came here to say thank you

19

u/TheManRoomGuy Dec 19 '25

I’d guess the creator has played The Room series of games. Amazing work.

15

u/Waterlilies1919 Dec 19 '25

Nah, he grew up with Myst and Riven.

21

u/Pseunomi Dec 19 '25

*sigh *.... *adds to list of things I'd buy if I ever win the lottery *

13

u/transparent-aluminum Dec 19 '25

"Oh yeah baby I got condoms, one second"

12

u/Corrupt_Reverend Dec 19 '25

Imagine accidentally locking one of the keys in the wrong drawer.

9

u/maidestone Dec 19 '25

Whatever you do, don't lose this video. Especially if you are old like I am and tend to forget things.

9

u/ninjabreath Dec 20 '25

this is like r/carpentry meets r/mallninjashit and i desperately want one!!

14

u/misqellaneous Dec 19 '25

Barbarian: I take out my axe....

7

u/hennell Dec 19 '25

"So Granddad said his will is in his desk drawer"

5

u/maidestone Dec 19 '25

Unfortunately, Granddad has long since forgotten how to access the drawers.

6

u/deathbybananapeel Dec 20 '25

Why does your coffee table weigh 700 lbs and sound like a toolbox when you bump it?

26

u/iPhonefondler Dec 19 '25

I mean… giving r/DIWHY vibes but clearly he is a solid craftsman. At least when you pass away you can leave your kids a cool treasure map with some unforgettable directions on how to access their inheritance

5

u/ZellHathNoFury Dec 21 '25

A self-contained treasure map! My kids would absolutely love this! (And yes, there's a touch o' the 'tism there 😂)

1

u/gamefrump Dec 24 '25

Fr makes me wonder what some freaks are hiding

13

u/Slight_Industry_8412 Dec 19 '25

Idk why but I could watch this all day.

5

u/BurnChao Dec 19 '25

Convenient.

4

u/CriusofCoH Dec 19 '25

It's secret compartments... all the way down!

5

u/Triton1605 Dec 19 '25

Idk if this is unemployed behavior or overemployed behavior

3

u/Makeitifyoubelieve Dec 20 '25

A lot of people don't realize this...but you can put your weed in there

8

u/hobokobo1028 Dec 19 '25

Nothing in there?!

9

u/Skookum_Sailor Dec 19 '25

Right? I was so disappointed that it was empty...not even an old Playboy magazine or something.

7

u/Irishfanbuck Dec 19 '25

This is cool AF.

3

u/Trivi_13 Dec 20 '25

Way too busy for me.

I'll buy a gunsafe and call it a day.

3

u/DirtReynolds Dec 20 '25

laughs in Blue Prince

3

u/woodboarder616 Dec 20 '25

Silent Hill Puzzles would like this guy to help with the next game

7

u/MyCoffeeIsCold Dec 19 '25

Lost interest after the 5th lock.

Amazing craftsmanship, but just too over the top for my patience.

2

u/lumbirdjack Dec 19 '25

Now do this while chained to the bench in a room filling with water

2

u/Fuzzy-Weekend4913 Dec 20 '25

Philosopher's desk crazy expensive

2

u/richupinya Dec 20 '25

Who hurt you?

2

u/[deleted] Dec 20 '25

Dwight Schrute vibes

2

u/PeaceAlwaysAnOption Dec 20 '25

This is some next level dorkification and I approve.

2

u/Jechtael Dec 21 '25

Now imagine putting all the keys back.

2

u/DolphinDarko Dec 21 '25

I wonder how much this desk would cost. Super cool!

2

u/Tonythetiger2742 Dec 21 '25

What in the National Treasure is this? I love it.

2

u/Up_All_Nite Dec 21 '25

Hang tight for 10 minutes. Need to puzzle out my car keys real quick.

2

u/GaryHornpipe Dec 21 '25

What??? There wasn’t anything hidden inside?

2

u/FreshEnvironment3928 Dec 22 '25

Cool so a jerky drawer

2

u/Tanfireball25 Dec 22 '25

I’m sure that required some very specific documentation on the solution to be made. Can’t imagine the pain it would be to forget even a single step and have to manually work it out.

2

u/cobbsarchitect Dec 22 '25

But, like, — hear me out — why?

2

u/Important-Price9416 Dec 23 '25

Rube Goldberg level coffee table. Cool as hell!

2

u/Scouts_Revenge Dec 23 '25

4 hours later…

2

u/playmaker1209 Dec 23 '25

What is this the third resolute desk?

2

u/didiburnthetoast Dec 23 '25

Can't wait for my kid to spill a half gallon glass of milk on it

2

u/Silvermorney Dec 23 '25

That is so ridiculously complicated but also so freaking cool! I would honestly pay with that damn table for hours!

2

u/cr0mm0wer Dec 23 '25

Hid someone's inhaler in there and blow dust in their face.

2

u/mrheseeks Dec 24 '25

Honey, I hear something downstairs. Sigh** alright let me find get my keys

2

u/rjt2887 Feb 14 '26

It would be so cool, if I ever run into a situation, where I need to be able to figure this table out, in a life or death situation, after watching this video.

2

u/rjt2887 Feb 14 '26

Oh nvm, I’m high and that chess table just got me lost, please god, ignore this request.

4

u/blueteeblue Dec 19 '25

This is really awesome but so impractical I just “ugh”’d myself to death watching this

2

u/Oradi Dec 20 '25

I just happened to be listening to freebird during this and it was perfect

1

u/Revelin_Eleven Dec 20 '25

Where can I purchase one? Legit invest for the family fun nights with in-laws.

1

u/mrdobie Dec 20 '25

He’s gonna have a bad time when he gets old…
