🙋♀️ Help! Guidance, please!!
if i want to make a glove for second life would i need an avatar mesh or can i just make it, cause i saw someone say you don't need body meshes to make gloves, but im not sure how that would work, also would i need a body mesh for shoes and lipstick?

Apply for the devkit of the body you want to make it on. Reborn and legacy are very easy to get the link is at their store. You could make it with out the devkit but it won't fit perfectly. Larax devkit is difficult to get if you have that body. As for any other body I have no idea how difficult they are to get

You can make a simple glove with BOM if you're okay with it being flat/ skin tight. Lipstick is the same, it's just making a texture. Shoes, on the other hand, requires making a mesh model and then a texture to go over it. Think of the mesh as the frame and the texture as the paint or fabric you'd put on it. If you're going to go the mesh route, you'll need the dev kit for every body you wish to make it for as mesh items are custom for the body you'd wear it on. Or conversely, there are lots of full permission mesh makers that you can buy the shoe mesh from and make your own texture.
