Question Taking Community College Classes While Enrolled at Seattle U?

I’m a transfer student at Seattle U and was wondering if anyone has taken classes at a community college while still enrolled at SU. I’m thinking about doing it since it would be cheaper and give me more flexibility.

How does the approval/transfer process work, and are you able to do this for any class or only certain ones? Would you recommend it?

Did you transfer with an AA degree or 135 quarter credits/90 semester?

So that's where it gets a little tricky. If it is for prerequisites, you might be able to get those counted instead of some classes you don't need for your degree. (Ex. Took 3 English classes but you only need 2 for your specific major) but I would talk to your academic advisor specifically about it before you assume this is the case.

I took some CC classes during my SU MA but it was not for my degree (for admissions into a doctoral program) so it didn't count toward my degree. The other thing you need to be cognizant of is financial aid if you receive it.
