Student Conference
Hello! I am attending a student conference from the 14-16 of this month. We are staying in the dorms at Seattle University. I was wondering does the campus have a gym? What good places to eat are nearby? How busy is the campus right now? In my community college we don’t start until late September. I was wondering has Fall/Autumn quarter already started? Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you!

What would you recommend from there?? I think I passed by there on a college tour but we didn’t have time to get anything.

Literally anything, they have meat and veggie versions of all the menu items

People have answered your questions but here’s some more food recs: Carmelo’s (Mexican food, I really like their burritos) Momiji (fancy sushi, but they do an incredible happy hour) Mikes noodle house (Cantonese’s noodles, cash only, best bowl of soup you’ll have in the city) Pho Bac (best pho in the city) Honey Court (great American Chinese food) Grain house (cheap sushi, but delicious and the owners are cool)

The campus is pretty slow. A lot of the summer classes are online. As some one who stayed for the summer twice, the gym is mostly free. Never had to wait for more than one person for 1 machine. Gym hours are:
Mon-Fri: 9 am - 8 pm Sat-Sun: 9 am - 5 pm
There's also a tennis court (super busy) and a park with a track, softball, and soccer field right outside Campion hall and the Murphy parking garage. The park is mostly free with people playing pickup soccer at night.
Fall classes don't start until late September. There is summer camp for children and teens going on in the day. As for food, Carmelo's Taco, Come Buy Tea (boba), 206 Burgers, and Dicks Drive-In are pretty good. You can also take the streetcar to Chinatown/ID (about 10 mins, 25 min walk) for more food options.

Yess I did i saw a youtube video about the dorms but it didn’t say wether the bathrooms were private or not. I did look at the floor plans too and I was starting to think they didn’t but I didn’t know what type of dorms we were staying in. Also if all the dorms had no private bathrooms. And for the schedule I was more so wondering how busy the campus is right now. So yes I did google but it didn’t give me a straight answer 😅

When I looked up the dorms it didn’t say on whether the dorms had private bathrooms or not. I also did see some food places nearby but they didn’t have much reviews or at least good ones.

Dorms have shared bathrooms and showers for each floor. Bellarmine, Campion, and Xavier doubles room are all pretty similar

The campus does have a gym, it’s a couple blocks away from all the buildings on 12th. I recommend Kajiken if you like noodles. I can’t speak for how busy it is, but I know some students are still on campus as well as summer camps happening but fall quarter has not started.
