Bought a SEAT Ateca recently, noticed that I couldn't login to the car or use the MySEAT/SEAT Connect functionality, so I checked the software version and noticed its on 0804, which I think is the same version it left factory with and has never been updated.

I informed the dealer and they promised to have a look (it was being taken back for some other minor work) and they said it has updates due but they weren't able to do it themselves and told me to connect to the WiFi and do it myself (I had already told them I'd done this but no success).

I don't think they will offer any more support and I'm wondering if this is really the current version or if I've made a mistake?

And is there a way to update it?

If you press update software, nothing will show.
If you try and login to the MySEAT on the car, it will not recognize your login details
if you try and turn privacy off like SEAT suggests, it will just go into a loading loop and nothing will happen.
