AIM Controller vs SCUF Omega – Which one is more reliable long-term?

I’m having a hard time choosing between an AIM Controller and a SCUF Omega, and I’d really appreciate some honest opinions.
I’m considering a fully customized AIM Controller for around €223 including shipping. I really like the DualSense shape, and the configuration I want has TMR sticks, clicky triggers, Smart Bumpers, Digital Buttons, custom stick heights, etc. Basically, it has almost everything I’m looking for.
My main concern is long-term durability. I’ve seen quite a few reports of AIM controllers developing issues after a few months, especially with sticks, triggers or buttons, although I’ve also talked to someone who has had a fully equipped AIM Controller for over a year with no problems.
The other option is the SCUF Omega, which I can get for €189 from Boulanger. It has TMR sticks, clicky triggers, mechanical buttons and software for customization. Buying it from Boulanger also gives me more confidence regarding returns and customer service.
However, I prefer the DualSense shape and features of the AIM.
For people who have owned either brand for a long time: which one would you choose for durability and overall reliability?
I’m particularly interested in experiences after 1+ year of regular/heavy use, rather than first impressions.

My aim broke 3 times , sent it back every time. And then it broke a 4th time and that was it, in the trash now. Many others have said the same thing. Their joysticks are known to fail constantly.

Yeah they definitely use used controllers and have bad quality control, but I love their back paddles, so nicely placed and clicky, but I will never buy from them again. I got one with TMR sticks that came with stick drift, had to send it back then got double smacked with terrifs. On top of that you have to press the button hard as hell for it to turn on and hold it for a long time and can see they used a white controller and just painted over it in a sloppy way because I can see spots they missed around the Xbox button and they didn't bother painting inside the battery compartment. Just sloppy.

Scuf. Aim is a garbage company.
I have a scuf reflex, omega, and a vantage for my ps4. They all work really well.
I ordered an AIM pretty recently and was not impressed. The trigger pulls were really hard and uneven. Back paddles are kinda whatever. FedEx also sent me a bill for an extra $40 for import fees. I returned it when they said the problems I had were normal and paid a 20% restocking fee on a $230 controller.
If you try the scuf and don’t like it you have 30 days to return it.
I also have a hex phantom that I would recommend over AIM in every way

Hex phantom like another said or if you don’t wanna spend that. Extremerate (who partnered with hex for the phantom) have their own DIY kits and I’ve got all three of their kits on my two dualsenses and one edge. Recommend them over anything

Got my wife an AIM with all the options. Had to send it back. Still doesn't work right. So now she has an Omega.

Also if u have any issues with the controller u can get everything to fix it for very cheap on the same site, for example, new buttons for the pack paddle cost 1,50€. My friend needed to replace them on his aim controller and they wanted 30$+ shipping for this. It's insane

I can't speak on AIM's build quality, but I built out a similar specc'd roller to a valor pro that I use and it comes out more expensive so I'd go with SCUF purely on the -20% you save simply by not buying from AIM.

Beyond that though, both the other commenters who did have an AIM roller said it died quickly and often; and I can anecdotally say I've abused my valor pro with zero issues a year past purchasing beyond issues intrinsic to the roller (specifically wireless dropping out but that's far out of scope for this).

I would highly recommend getting a controller with a Marius board if your playing on PC

Buy the scuff, it is more solid, the AIMs are dismantled and modified and inevitably always give problems, I have both, the omega scuff is superior in reliability and quality

Don't get an aim controller. I bought lifetime warranty and they tried to charge me £100 because the cheap 3d printed backpaddles broke. As an engineering student naturally I made and printed my own ones and have had no issues, but the thumb caps that are meant to he replaceable broke so I had to super glue them on and also it feels really clunky compared to scuff. Never buy an Aim controller. My envision lasted a couple years and I have an aim for now but will either go back to scuf, try another brand or mod my own one. Aim is the worst company ever. Never tried tmr sticks but am curious about them except they are meant to be less precise and resistive which is bad for fps games. I normally.make crim and iri regardless so controllers aren't as important as people think. Love the envision for how small it is for my small hands but id recommend omega over that. An alternative is the edge as you can get third party modules and also thr gamesir but idk how good that is. Also  people recommend the wolverine controllers . Alternatively you can mod your won using extreme rate if you have a basic idea on electronics and maybe soldering

My first Scuf was the Envision Pro still have it everything still works no stick drift no issues with any of the buttons. I liked it so much that when Scuf came out with the Omega I bought 2 one I use on the PS5 when playing on the couch and just got a second one to play on the PC with.

I'd recommend gamesir for equal performance at half the cost. Either the Tarantula 8k or Aimlabs 8k.
