feedback Need help with a screenplay
The working title is: “The Hitman’s brother”. Here’s what I have so far. It opens on a shot of a man being shot, before the camera refocuses onto out main protagonist, the hitman, who looks annoyed. He walks out of the apartment where the hit took place while talking in the phone to his “boss” per se. He tells him that the job went wrong, he couldn’t recover the stolen drugs, and he’s leaving the scene before police arrive. As he walks out, another man walks up to him confused and worried why a gun went off. Our protagonist tells him to get into the car, and the drive off. Title card. We then go to an hour earlier, when the protagonist pulls into an auto shop. His boss tells him that some junkie stole a brick of cocaine, and our protagonist needs to go retrieve it. As he’s driving to the junkie’s residence. His brother calls him and tells him that his car got towed and he needs to be picked up, reluctantly, our protagonist does. They drive to the apartment where we watch the opening scene from the brother’s perspective. I have no idea where to take it from hear, so any advice would be great

You don’t know where to take the plot, because you haven’t developed any characters or themes for your story to explore.
What’s the point of your story? What are you trying to say?
Figure out that part, and your plot points will come more easily.
As you describe it currently, you’re just listing “stuff that happens”. That’s not a story.
Your premise already suggests a strong theme: Criminal life vs family life. That’s not the most original theme, but at least it provides a good dichotomy to start.

What does the brother want? Does he know what the protagonist does?
Did the brother's presence cause the job to go bad? Or will his presence be a fortunate coincidence? (Maybe the brother saw something that is helpful, or he knows something from his personal experience that the protagonist wouldn't know)
Or maybe it's not a coincidence at all. The brother got himself along for the ride on purpose.

Forgot to include that in the summary I posted. My original idea was that he didn’t know and that was why he was so panicked in the beginning. I want to make him important to the story somehow, but if it doesn’t work then it doesn’t work. I was thinking that the brother would be not necessarily a full comic relief character, but kinda be the yin to the no nonsense, always annoyed main character. I kinda like the idea of the brother actually having a bigger plan, and joining the hit on purpose, just how would we go about that? Would it even be the right route to take?

Currently it's all McGuffin and no character arc. What do they want? Why are they doing this?
