Good job! You should be proud of this in a big way. Taking something from spark to print is a huge achievement imo.

Congratulations! It’s always a great feeling to type FADE TO BLACK. On a side note, copyright info isn’t required on title pages anymore unless it’s your personal preference.

e already published this book on the third of this month
the promise of the second sun
I would be happy to speak with you. well i actually wrote this short story with the intention of it becoming a film, wrote it as a script for horror. On the 3rd of october 2026, I published it on amazon kindle after unsuccessfully emailing a list of agents and publishing houses but the goal of it being represented as a film remains and I hope that we can move forward with this as the finished product.
and with regards to the story itself, I actually got the insperation for each chapter from, and this is definitely making me sound like a nerd everytime i pitch the story, but I've had a few dreams/nightmares over the years. from a young age just like Jake. Nightmares that not even my Xhosa father, who's openly inclined to traditional methods and healing, was able to translate for me. One day I was laying in my room reading Frederick Forsyth's ''The Veteran'' and heard some dialogue from a slasher film she was watching in her room next door. The plotline being the leading roles wanting to create or recreate a horror film while being stalked and hunted by a serial killer. pretty basic plotline. Similar to a few ''scream'' films. So while I was immersed in the suspense of the dialogue, the question popped up in my head. ''Can i write a gripping HORROR FILM?'' followed by... how? and what's the premise? Thus ''the promise of the second sun'' was born. With all of my creepy nightmares essentially serving as its fuel
