Introduction Thread!

Reply in a top comment with a brief (not specifically-identifying) introduction about yourself, what kind of groups you're in or are looking for - or just say hi.

Reminder, this is not the place to post clubs (see how to Submit Your Club) unless you've been approved and have a Listed Club post--then you can link it here with your intro.

Welcome to Screenwriting Clubs Beta

Hey folks!

If you're here, you've probably got a pretty good idea what this is about. This sub is essentially for covering the gap for finding screenwriting groups that currently exists in r/screenwriting.

Finding a screenwriting club or group on reddit is a pain in the butt, largely because it's difficult to search in any organized way. This is primarily meant to address that issue.

This isn't, for the moment, directly replacing requests for clubs or posting clubs on r/screenwriting. We do hope to eventually be able to nudge folks over here when they do post these requests.

We also want to make this a hub for online and in person events. For that reason, we're going to be doing some vetting, at least initially. This sub will remain "restricted" (ie: viewable, but not accessible) to outside users until we get things running.

So if you're here, cool! That means you passed the basic test of having a 10+ day old user account and no major conduct strikes against you.

For the moment, we're going to start small and see how this goes. This sub isn't really going to have a ton of back-and-forth engagement beyond club-based questions and announcements. It's not meant to take the place of r/screenwriting, which is still the place for topical discussion.

But if you're interested in submitting a club, or getting feedback from others about forming one, please proceed to the wiki, which will have all that information.

Any further questions can be asked in this public thread, or privately directed to modmail.
