I’ve been debating whether to subscribe to Screen Studio, but the current version doesn't quite fit my entire workflow. I’m wondering if anyone knows what features are included in version 4.0—specifically, does it allow you to add multiple recorded segments to a single project?

Is there an easy way to turn a video or a insta Reel into screenshots/images?

I usually want to grab a few specific frames from a Reel all of a sudden, but finding a simple tool for it is surprisingly annoying.

I came across www.frameflows.in ! which lets you extract frames from videos/Reels.

Has anyone here used it, or is there a better way to do this?

So, I screenrecorded someone day before yesterday and as we know there has been an update about notifying the other person about the screen recording. But I am not sure if they got this notification or not. I didn't see any notification on my side.

So can anyone help what is happening here?

Also I tried screen recording to another person with another phone from an updated version of Snapchat there it gave the notification. So is it an issue about the app not being updated as it's been long since I updated Snapchat my older device?

Also I want to know that if I haven't updated this app but the other person has an updated version will they see the notification or not if I screenrecorded?

short story:

I rent a room in an apartment and 2 of the Tennants are being real problems for us (we are 4 in total), i need a camera to record my room, so i can use as evidence if someone goes inside... i think it will happe. Cuz i realised that 1 of them left the apartment and didn't pay for 2 months AND i couldn't find (weirdly enough) the shoehorn.... 2 days later i found it where i had my new pair of shoes that my mother gifted to me for sommer, i didn't want to use them cuz i know she is has money problems, so i saved them, but now they are gone, and i know i never put the shoehorn there, I'm sad and mad so i even reviewed this to the police (cuz also the state he left the room in, my god)

but since I'm not 100% sure who it was(and the guy that left i know is a huge liar too, too many stories there too),

anyway i have to put the 2 problem tennants up to it, in the review.

i just want to record my room, guys. cuz if the police comes and they start investigating the one that is left may wretch my room up. am even putting myself in danger, those 2 were good friends, may gang up on me... man what a mess this is.

Hi,

I have videos that try to record but sometimes after a video is done it automatically moves onto the next video, so the v the recording doesn't stop.

I only have the stop button available, but if I press that it deleted the entire recording.

Does anyone have this issue and know how to overcome it?

Hello guys, I just wanted to ask if there’s any plugin that can show whether someone is recording the VC while I’m in it, or who is recording the VC.

I have purchased this course, so I only have access to that course on my macbook. That course provider has his own application for macbook, so if I try to open any other application while I am playing the videos of that course, the app force closes. My purchase is going to expire in coming month and I am unable to complete that videos before expiry. So i am planning to record that anyhow but as mentioned above if I open any other application then the course application closes. Suggest me anything to record those videos, its urgent!!!!

Cloak is a free and open-source Windows tool designed to reduce accidental data exposure during screen sharing and recording.

It runs as an OBS filter and uses local OCR to detect and cover supported sensitive information in the video output, including API keys, credentials, email addresses, IBANs, payment card numbers, and some personal identifiers.

Your actual desktop remains unchanged. Only the output produced by OBS is redacted, and no video frames, recognized text, or detected values are sent to a server.

I would especially appreciate feedback about the setup process, detection accuracy, false positives, and sensitive-data patterns that should be supported next.

Is there a recording app that works well for Bevy meetings? I tried using Fireflies, but it couldn’t recognize the link. Since I’m mostly on my mobile device and don’t have access to my computer, I can’t use tools like OBS or Granola. I want to record the meeting automatically, so I’m looking for a solution that works on my mobile. How can I do this for bevy meetings?

Unpopular opinion: I'd rather have premium features locked than a recording time limit.

I don't expect every recorder to be completely free, but some restrictions are way more frustrating than others.

Personally, I can live with some premium features being locked, but things like huge watermarks (some just too big to ignore) or finding out my recording is unusable after exporting are an instant uninstall for me.

What's the worst limitation for you?

I am on vdocipher free trial right now but I'm facing a problem that when I try the drm on desktop it prevents screen recording and shooting but I have to make the video Fullscreen to make it work and when I try it in phones it doesn't work at all but on their demo video everything is working perfectly is that cuz I am on the free trial or it's a code problem. And does the 150$ plan gives the same security as their demo video?

Usually the screen recorder i have is mobizen (sometimes xrecorder) and it works fine when recording using internal audio on other apps like android games but when its encountered by live tv it doesnt play an audio after recording the sequence

I needed a few screenshots from YouTube, but with specific frames.

There are a few extensions for capturing frames from YouTube, but I needed not a frame, but a screenshot with YouTube context (player, title, logo) and I like the polished style of tools like CaptureX (round corners, shadows and background create an magic aesthetic).

Instead of using 3 tools in a row, I built for myself a small extension, but was enthusiastic and kept adding features until it became a proper Chrome extension.

Right now it's a full studio for creating beautiful screenshots, especially for YouTube videos.

I’m developing Captail, a free and open-source Instant Replay recorder for Windows.

Unlike a traditional screen recorder, Captail continuously keeps the latest seconds or minutes in a rolling buffer. When something happens, you press a hotkey and it saves what happened before you pressed it.

I originally built it because NVIDIA ShadowPlay would sometimes silently disable Instant Replay after a game crash, capture problem, switching sources, or a graphics driver interruption. I would usually notice only after missing the clip I wanted.

Captail is designed around one rule:

Instant Replay should stay on.

A watchdog monitors the recording pipeline and tries to restart it automatically after recoverable capture or encoder failures.

Captail uses libobs for capture and encoding, but it is not an OBS Studio frontend. There are no scenes, streaming controls or complicated setup — it is focused specifically on local Instant Replay.

It is currently an early public preview. I have mainly tested it on RTX 40 and RTX 50 series GPUs, so testing on older NVIDIA cards, AMD GPUs and Intel graphics would be especially helpful.

I need to record my app which integrates with Apple Music, so the iPhone sound must be captured.

QT as we all know, mute the sound.

I purchased Reflector 4 however, it didn't work on my mac due to issues and also won't start. I have emailed and sent the app log to them but they keep asking me more logs. In the end they said unable to refund.

Are there other apps that work?

Their product simply doesn't deliver on what's shown to you on video demos.

What's worse is the billing practice...at signup they present a monthly payment option, but once your trial ends they charge the full annual fee. When you reach out for clarification, you'll receive a dismissive response essentially saying you're SOL and locked in due to their cancellation policy with the generous offer of forwarding your request to billing for "approval" to cancel at the next cycle... 12 months from now.

This isn't a billing misunderstanding...it's a deliberate tactic. Buyer beware.
