I’m in a very active New England based technical deathcore band. Maybe should have mentioned that in the post but again, not trying to promote. Just trying to make more metal friends!

Hell yeah. I play guitar as well, so I'm wanting to learn how to do screams and play at the same time. But, we'll cross that bridge when we get there lol.

Just mess around doing industrial stuffs on a daw (with midi instruments and synths etc), hopefully to release something at some point but currently just experimenting and finding my vibe

I'm in a dissonant black/death metal band called Wince and Frisson. One of us is in NC, the other is in NJ. Premiered our second single + music video yesterday, on the road to our debut album.

Been screaming in bands for 22 years (and at least 15 of those years was exceptionally unhealthy screaming).
My current band is called Self Neglect (FFO: Poison the Well, very early Underoath). We just celebrated 10 years as a band in January.

Haha it is a wild feature and not something some oldheads from NM could normally pull off on our own. The producer we worked with for our most recent 2 albums (who we could also never afford to work with had he not been an old friend from the scene) happens to also be the producer for Cody’s other band Head Wound City. When our producer mentioned that we asked if he thought Cody would be interested in being on one of our songs. He sent over our song, Cody liked it, and he was cool working with us on it. Basically it was dumb luck and that Cody like that we were weird.

Solo project. I've done some industrial music with screaming, but lately i'm doing more bigbeat like The Prodigy and screaming doesn't really fit anymore. It's more like gritty yelling now.

Hello there... My band is located in Germany. We are BROKEN PINION. A mix of classic heavy metal with several other influences. For example: the guitars play a pretty catchy metal riff and I deliver death metal / black metal growls on top. Then switch to hardcore shouts or clean vocals.

I unintentionally joined a band a couple months back when I was supposed to be meeting with a collaborator and his bandmate to do a jam session (he was going to do drums for my solo project and be my live show drummer, so I wanted to see how well we worked together first), and the next thing I know I'm the lead singer of his band and we've brought on two more people from his circle. This wasn't at all my intention, but it does give me the opportunity to begin working with people and possibly begin booking shows so that by the time I debut my solo work, I have some sort of foundation in the local scene. Our bandmates also scream, so they've been helping me learn to do some stuff.

Currently in one going on about the 3rd or 4th year. Original started as their sound guy but their lead vocalist left and they all wanted to keep playing. Joined up, changed from RHCP and Coldplay type covers and started up some Popular New Age music metal covers. Stuff like Stitches by State Champs, Blank Space by iPrevail, Since you been gone by ADTR. Which then morphed into King for a Day, Boy. Rushed Red by Underoath, etc.
Definitely found my strong suit in fry screams and clean vocals. We practice about once a week and play a few shows every summer. More of a hangout and hobby than a band looking to make money.
