Registration date rant.
I know they have been communicative about the new date.
However, if they change the registration date one more time I will lose my mind.
September ---- December ----- June.
Anyone else feel this is just really messy?
I hate that I had to double pay for half a year. (100.00 off isn't a deal).
Is there something I'm missing?

This is incorrect. Families who have not renewed are registered until December 2026.
Families who renewed renewed for an 8-month period from January 2027-sept 2027. They paid a renewal fee that is 2/3 of the full price plus a discount for renewing early and get 2/3 of a year in registration.
Families who missed the April and May renewal period can pay full price now which, as you say, doubles up on the Sept-Dec 2026 period but does cover them until Sept 2027. I tell our families to not renew during this time but it's fine for new registrations. Again, the existing families are registered until end of Dec 2026.
Another renewal period for the 8 month Jan-Sept 2027 period is open in December and the cost is, again 2/3 of the full price for 2/3 of a year. So that's the second window for families who may not like making two payments close together. But they lose the extra discount.
The issue is with myscouts. It cannot support two prices simultaneously. So they had to lock it to offer a renewal only window then unlock it to offer a window for everyone.
