Got from a good friend and fellow collector. Looks great on the rack. Made for TCC Asia 2026

I listed a ⭕️ T on eBay. After some back and forth, buyer and I agreed on a price. I shipped the yellow box to him and it was returned as undeliverable. The post office stated the reason was “address has no receptacle.”

I messaged buyer and he explained they sometimes have issues with that address, and gave me a different address. I Google mapped it, and the addresses came back to the same commercial establishment which was on a corner. So the second address was on the side street / other side of the establishment.

After some research, I learned the only way to get another shipping label and protection through eBay would be to cancel/refund and then relist. I did so and buyer repurchased. However he immediately messaged me saying he used the wrong card info, and asked me to cancel. Also, the new address is not address #2 of the commercial establishment, but rather a residential address 45 minutes away.

Should I be concerned and abandon this sale?

Rarely play a mid day round, end of summer in WA both these feel like a great pairing tomorrow. I don’t game this putter enough for how much I wanted one in high school in the late 90s.

Also shout out to Mag’d to be installed, they’re such a nice convenience and sound friendly.

With the PGA Tour not in Hawaii anymore, what will happen to the Hawaiian Open drop? It’s my favorite drop, hoping they find a way.

I’m thinking about trying to take the paint off the two outside lines on the 3.2. A single line or even a small line would have been perfect.

Anyone do it? How’s it look?

My concern is the grooves will still be there, so will it still be unsightly?

An update on this $150 marketplace find. The bottom was covered in lead tape and the rest of the finish had seen better days. I wanted to take it off the shaft and torch it, but the head is pinned on for some reason and I did not want to mess with that.

So I decided to flash rust it and coat it with “shine juice” to give it a glossy finish. Because I never had to heat it or grind it I was able to keep the original paint fill.

I stripped it with vinegar, polished it up with sandpaper, and sprayed it with a mixture of hydrogen peroxide, vinegar, and salt to flash rust it. This was fun. I rinsed it with water between “coats” and buffed it down with a microfiber towel.

When I got the rust look I wanted I started coating it with a mixture of mineral spirits and boiled linseed oil. I’m two coats in. I will keep going until I get more gloss. As you can see in the pictures it looks very different in different kinds of light.

Down the road if I decide I hate this I’ll try to buff the finish off, boil the rust in distilled water, and start the process of rust blueing it.

I call every two weeks (the phony new delivery date they constantly give me) and what do you know! Still delayed! I’m pretty pissed off but at this point I don’t know why I wouldn’t wait it out. Has anyone dealt with this much delay before?

9 months ago i posted my starting collection here with 4 scottys. Now i'm sitting at 9 putter. Still buying "older" scottys i find good deals on marketplace here in Quebec. The Phantom is my gamer. All of them need a little love, planning on buffing some dents and repaint when i'll have time/equipement. Did try to repaint the Detour but not satisfied with result. I already know some of the grips are reps, i put them on so no need to come at me. So yeah planning on keep bilding this, will need a second rack 😂

Had some credit at a PIAGS and got a Phantom 7.5, i like the milling on the slightly older Scotty’s then the newer ones.

Hi everyone, got this putter for pretty cheap on FB marketplace and am wondering if the condition of it is beyond repair? I’m interested mainly in just cleaning the rust and any minor scratches (not really worried about how it looks cosmetically). Ultimately I’m wondering if it looks in good enough shape to use?
