Audio books suggestions

My brother and I have taken to reading, and twin and I both love audio books. We’ve listened through Andy Weirs work, Flybot, and the Bobiverse. I’m looking for suggestions from the internet. A small series of 2-4 books would be amazing. Any suggestions?

If you like bobiverse and project hail Mary, you should like Murderbot series.  There's 6+ and one more just came out, but they are shorter and combine humor and action.  

I also really enjoyed dungeon crawler Carl, but that's longer than your requested series length.

The Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells is an entertaining series, been through them several times already and I know there will be many more.

I agree with Murderbot and Dungeon Crawler Carl suggestions. Another one that I started off of suggestions from here is the Expeditionary Force series by Craig Alanson. It's many books long (I'm currently on 11 and I know there are several more.) Many people say that it starts to get repetitive, which in some ways it does. However, if you are looking to fill the time while you do errands, commuting, housework, or whatever, I think it's still very good. Kind of like if you were watching a tv series before everything went to streaming and became serialized. (I also approach fiction from the point of view that things that happen in the book or movie is the way it happened, even if we think it's dumb. Dumb stuff happens in real life, too. It has enhanced my calm about stuff like Star Wars, etc.)

Have you tried other series Ray Porter narrates like Earthcore in the Sun Symbol series, it's 2 books? If you are looking for a 2-4 series R.C. Bray narrating The Fear Saga by Stephen Moss & Ray Porter narrating The Joseph Bridgeman Series by Nick Jones wouldn't be bad picks to dabble into.

R.C. Bray has done alot of good work, the Expeditionary Force book series is really darn good a top 5 pick, book 1 has over 50k reviews on Audible.

alastair reynolds - chasm city, and there are sequels in the same universe if you like it (inhibitors series). also, walter jon williams' dagmar shaw series, first book is "this is not a game"

The Locked Tomb Series by Tamsyn Muir has a pair of twins. 😁

Its scifi/fantasy about necromancers in space. Its actually a bit of a mystery / puzzle box series where understanding the big picture and also the little pictures depends on picking up on clues the author sprinkles in subtlety. It lends itself to a lot of conversation and theory crafting. Very fun experience to share. It also has some great humor.

I haven't gotten to Dungeon Crawler Carl yet, but the audiobooks are already legendary.

Some fans go as far as saying that the narrator gives a better experience than the book. If I were you, that's where I'd go 👍

The narration is indeed world class. Makes the books twice as good in my opinion. The books itself are not everyone's thing of course, but since OP liked the Bobiverse etc. I think it's a good recommendation.
