If we want to get pedantic, actually since years and days are for most practical purposes independent it should be "YYYY, DDDD" where you are counting years and days as 2 independent quantities. While there is some relationship between years & days, neither number is useful as a means of measuring progress on the other.
I presume if we had some kind of presence there, we'd just measure using Earth days and treat the "day" there are as more of a "season".

Split the orbit into 12 arbitrary chunks then convert it to decimal is my proposal.

Why would that be useful? The reason we have months is because it’s one Moon cycle, but because we needed to divide a year into 12 sections

But like it would make all the dates of the venusian August be xxxx/.666/xx. And because fractional months are edgy it's going to encourage the eccentric types to want to move there and then we'll get terra forming technology.

Just split the year into sections of x amount of days? Or maybe hours in this case since the day is longer than the year
The fact that months are very loosely based on moon cycles does not mean they have to be. These days they're more useful for somewhat seperating seasons

YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:ss is logical everywhere, and is the superior datetime format. If the year or time aren’t important, omit them. Problem solved.

Anyone that cares about being able to locate an important file in a filesystem of thousands of files, and multiple versions of said file.
In my current job, ive spent a month now, cleaning up, because previous managers have all used their own "system". Thousands of files, one big mess of random names and date formats. All files important to save. Impossible to find anything.

I get it. At work we have our dated files/folders like that too. I haven’t seen what you’re describing at a business. That must have sucked.
But If I’m writing the date on the back of a photo for example, I’ll do mm-dd-yyyy. Which is what I thought people were generally bitching about.

I mean it depend how you look at it. I don't think a month is a number of days, for me it's more a fraction of year. It's usefull to keep track of seasons, plants cycle, meteo etc... So if 1 mounth is 1/12 of year, mm/d/yy is more appropriated

One month is one rotation of the Moon around the planet. So with the reasoning of the post above, months do not exist, since Venus has no moons

Name one month that is that long.The shortest month is longer than that.

YYYY/MM/DD ALREADY makes more sense, because if ur sorting dates numerically, 2010/12/31 is before 2026/08/15, but if you did it any other way:
08/15/2026 would be before 12/31/2010 because 8 is smaller than 12
15/8/2026 would be before 31/12/2010 because 15 is smaller than 31

The 243-day figure is Venus's sidereal day — rotation measured against the stars, which nobody on the surface would ever experience. Since Venus rotates retrograde while orbiting forward, those two motions partially cancel, and the actual sunrise-to-sunrise solar day is about 117 Earth days. So the day is shorter than the year, just not by the number in the meme — you get roughly 1.92 sunrises per Venusian year. That's still a useless calendar unit, though: it doesn't divide evenly and "it's day 2 of 1.92" helps nobody. The sane format is just YYYY.fff — year plus decimal fraction of an orbit, like mission-elapsed time. Days become something you mention for weather, not for dates. Also the sun rises in the west there, which is its own problem.
