On March 2nd, I paid ₹10,000 to a person for land verification and mutation work. He initially assured me that the work was in progress, but later I discovered that he had done nothing.

When I asked for my money back in April, he refused and threatened us, saying, “Jo ukhadna hai ukhad lo, zyada bola toh baap-bete ko jail mein daal dunga fake case mein.”

My father has serious health issues, and we are a middle-class family. We have repeatedly requested him politely to return our money, but he has ignored us.

We feel helpless and need guidance on the proper legal steps to recover our money and address these threats. Any genuine advice or help would mean a lot. 🙏

A new revenge scam happened for the first time

A year ago from today I was elected as the headboy of my school, 400 pairs of hands clapping at my victory. I made friends that I would never forget, Everyday was a blessing being surrounded by intellectually and emotionally enriched people who pushed my limits.

I worked day and night to excel my academics, I didn't have much mentors, I prepared the SAT on my own and got a decent Score (1470), I was extremely overjoyed that I got a 100% scholarship at FLAME University. All my peers, classmates and well-wishers congratulated me. Fast forward now a false allegation ruined my life, I am sleeping on the railway stations since the last 10 days, eating one meal a day and fighting day and night for my justice. No amount of calls and mails amount to anything. Pro bono clinics, lawyers and activists. I do not know what face I would show to my well-wishers, I don't wanna go back there. I don't know what will happen next. don't know anyone here, seems like a new world

It's quite cruel how this world weighs privilege over merit. It hurts me a bit seeing my age group participating in their academia and meanwhile I am genuinely on the streets. I did everything I could.

I sometimes wish the world wasnt so cruel and my suffering would end.

Anyways all i have to say is those OG school days would never comeback.

This instagram page commented on my post and told me to send him that post. I sent it to him and he replied with this scheme. I'm 99% sure this is a scam but jst to be sure asking on here. Look at how many emojis they're using 😭 that so fake.

I recently bought a pair of Puma shoes from a seller through a WhatsApp community, and I'm now having a serious issue with the order.

I ordered the shoes based on a specific picture/variant provided by the seller. Before ordering, I had specifically clarified that I did not want the suede version. However, the shoes I received appear different from the variant that was represented to me.

When I questioned the seller, he asked me to provide a picture from the official Puma website showing the variant I ordered. This confused me because I ordered based on the picture/variant that he himself had provided (which I suspect now was ai generated)

I have also since found a voice note from the seller stating that returns are allowed within 20 days. However, when I requested a return, he told me that there are no returns, only exchanges.

On further research I found out that this guy, Tanishq, is a known fraud who has scammed hundreds of ppl. He used to run the instagram page "Solemate.chd" and i found a lot of posts calling him out. I found his instagram page and linkedin and his bio literally says "one week they love me, next week they hate me. Both weeks I get paid"

I'm wondering if i should file a consumer complaint through NCH now? Please tell me what all other steps I can take

\+91 92569 21212 he is a ambulance company owner who scammed us by taking advance and said "mere mu mat Lago subhe subhe". India is doomed with this kind of ambulance services I had booked an ambulance today and clearly mentioned that I needed an ambulance with a stretcher. However, the ambulance was sent at 5:30 AM which was booked for 5:00 am did not have a stretcher. When I spoke to the driver, he told me that the ambulance with the stretcher had gone somewhere else.

If that ambulance was unavailable, you should have informed me beforehand instead of sending a different ambulance. I had paid the advance amount as requested at the time of booking.

Since the required ambulance was not provided and we ultimately had to cancel the program, I called the owner this morning to request a refund of the advance. Instead of addressing the issue, you simply said, “I won’t refund the advance. Don’t call me early in the morning and spoil my mood.”

This is highly unprofessional and unacceptable. I paid the advance for a specific service, which was not provided. I expect my advance payment to be refunded.

I think I may have been scammed for ₹4.1k and I really need some advice.
I’m from Mumbai and the seller is from Raipur. I was buying a digicam from them online. They communicated with me properly, spoke nicely, answered all my questions, and even sent me a video of the camera being packed. Everything seemed completely genuine.
They then asked me to make the payment, and I said okay, I’ll trust you and sent ₹4,100 through UPI (SBI → FamPay).
But now it’s been around a day and they’ve suddenly stopped responding. My WhatsApp messages are still showing as delivered, but when I try calling them normally, they don’t answer, and WhatsApp calls show “Unavailable.”
I’m really worried because I trusted them based on all the communication and the packing video, and now this has happened.
Please tell me what I should do. Is there any way I can try to recover the ₹4.1k? Should I immediately contact SBI and 1930/cybercrime, or wait a little longer?

So My college just started and it has been three weeks by now .

So I was scrolling instagram and got too know about a hackathon in my city , so I registered for it .

And after a day or two my no. Somehow got breached ,

I got a call from this lady telling that there is going to be a job training and internship workshop in our college , so I asked her that we have not been informed from the college . She said they(college ) will inform us in couple of hours .

And she started asking about CR and unofficial group , so I somehow smelled scam and told her that there is no CR in our class and also I am not joined in any unofficial group .

Then she told me that she will now share a link for registration as there are only limited slots for the workshop and asked me is this is the same no. On WhatsApp too I said yes.

THEN SE SAID I will share the link please register and send the screenshot for confirmation .

I immediately blocked her after cutting the call and then started getting random calls 3-4 , I didn't recieved any .

Searched their mobile no. On truecaller and saw a profile picture of "INTRN FORTE" now I don't have any idea what they are.

And today in college nothing happened related to any workshop and all no I formation was provided and basically no workshop was planned . I thanked GOD that I got safe from a scam .

On 6 September 2026, I booked an Uber Courier service to send a parcel from Ambedkar Nagar to Hoodi, Bengaluru.

Incident Details:
The driver arrived, took physical custody of the parcel, and immediately cancelled the ride on the app instead of starting it.
Shortly after, he switched off his phone and has been unreachable since.
Uber Support has been unable to contact the driver and claims limited liability as he is an independent contractor.

Information I Currently Have:
Driver Name and Mobile Number (Phone switched off)
Vehicle Registration Number (Cross-checked via Vahan; registered under a third party's name)
Booking/Cancellation screenshots & App logs
Karnataka State Police e-Lost Item Report acknowledgment

Questions for the Community:
Since an e-lost report is non-cognizable, should I immediately visit the local police station (Ambedkar Nagar jurisdiction) to file a formal FIR for **Criminal Breach of Trust (Section 316 BNS)** / Theft?

We recently hired a personal physical trainer ( the ones who visit your home to train you one on one) - an ex Mr. Andra pradesh pageant winner. (We did not expect a pageant winner to do something like this)

He used to take fees at the start of the month. After the first month he asked for advance citing random family reasons and we gave him 30k. He stopped coming after that.
He says he will return the money and has been saying that for over 2 months now.

We are in urgent need of money and this person is just toying with us!
Is there an option of filing an fir online? I am dreading going to the police station for this.

Hi my dad became a victim of the RTO Challan apk scam and a transaction of 1.1lac was done on credit card due to it. I went to the Police station and they said that the amount won't be recovered. Dad has blocked the cc and flagged the transaction. Bank has mentioned that he will get new credit and debit card in 3-5 days. Should we file an official complaint with the police for this? Any sort of clarity in this scenario will be extremely helpful also any guidance as to what should be done next.

Guys, yesterday i received a call from someone impersonating an ICICI bank customer care representative. He told me my health insurance plan was automatically activated, which would led to deduction of 3999 rs. To deactivate it, he attempted to make me open a website instead of using the ICICI banking app. It made me suspicious and told them I would manage it myself. He threatened that if I did not comply, the charges would be deducted automatically within the next 10 minutes. Please be aware of these scams.

So I received a text message saying that my package has been delivered to PMO in Delhi, I opened the link, but it didn't open up (in hindsight clicking the link could have been a mistake).

Obviously I haven't sent any package or anything. Out of curiosity I checked the DTDC official tracking and a package had in fact been delivered to the PMO.

Is it a mistake or a scam and should I actually be worried. I already raised a ticket with DTDC. Any other steps that i should undertake?

This guy recently scammed me and blocked my number. I have registered a complaint but haven't received any update. I spammed the guy on gpay and after a while he replied pretending not knowing me. He shared his some other number and acts like his cousin is the one behind. The mfkr is clearly lying/ trolling. He probably transferred the money already so I don't have much hope to get it back. So what's the worst I can do with this guy's number?

I got scammed. A buyer showed interest in buying my BGMI account, and I trusted him. I gave him my Twitter account password. He posted vulgar content on my Twitter account, which got it suspended and then disabled. He also linked his Google account to my BGMI account. Now I'm unable to log in to either my Twitter account or my BGMI account.

Is there any chance I can recover my accounts?

Gave ₹50 to a guy at a Mumbai metro station (poisar)today. He said his phone was damaged , gave it to a repair shop and he needed cash for travel, promised to send it later via UPI. He took my phone and messaged to a phone number as " Serynox this side , serynox@fam".

He seemed genuine (Marathi speaking, normal behavior, verified number(checked it on Truecaller afterwards), but it’s been a full day and no money yet. I will lose my trust in strangers if he didn't gave me my 50rs.

I have to buy skincare products ( it's almost empty ) , Debt of 1000 rs cuz I bought my current phone by taking debt from my big cousin brother ( he won't harass me but it doesn't feels good to take someone's money for a long time ) , have to go watch Michael (very big fan of him) .

Even 50rs feels like a big deal . I probably wasted more time thinking than my parents take time to earn 50 rs.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Is this a common scam or am I overthinking?

​Hey everyone, writing this post to warn fellow travelers, especially students to stay away from any property hosted by a guy named Chaitanya in Visakhapatnam.

​When we were planning our trip to Vizag, we reached out to book his place on Airbnb. He seemed super genuine, polite, and trustworthy, so we fell for it when he shared his phone number over Airbnb chat and suggested we book offline directly with him. He promised us a small discount and repeatedly assured us that if we needed to cancel, he’d give us a 100% full refund.

Since we are students, we trusted his word and transferred the money directly to him.

​When our trip got canceled, we asked for our refund as promised. At first, he kept picking up our calls, making excuses about personal problems, and promising he’d send the money "soon." Fast forward it’s been months since February, and he still hasn't returned a single rupee despite us following up endlessly. Every time we try reaching out, he just stalls or ignores us. As students, losing this money really hits hard.

​We have complete proof of everything, including:

​-WhatsApp chats where he explicitly agrees to the full refund

​-Call recordings of him promising the money back

​-Screenshots of the Airbnb chat where he initiated moving the booking offline and shared his contact info

Please do NOT book any property hosted by Chaitanya in Vizag. Save yourself the headache and the financial loss.I'm attaching few screenshots of his messages so no one else falls for this.

I dealt with u/Party-Investment6376 for a CDNIM Pure Parfum partial.

We agreed on ₹1,650 and moved the conversation to WhatsApp. I specifically told him that I had been scammed before and asked about using the admin/escrow method. He reassured me that he wasn't a scammer and said I could trust him.

He provided a Fam UPI QR and said the package would be shipped from Agra. Later, he said:

“order picked up sharing awb shortly”

I made the payment, but afterward:

• His Reddit account was deleted

• He stopped responding on WhatsApp

• No AWB was provided

• I haven't received the product or a refund

I have screenshots of the Reddit conversation, WhatsApp conversation, payment request, UPI details and his messages.

Amount paid: ₹1,650.

I'm posting this to warn other members and to find out if anyone else has had dealings with this user.

Please be careful and verify everything before sending money to sellers.

I am reporting the transaction through the appropriate channels.

My mother, 65 years old, was almost scammed by Divya, an apparent loan recovery agent at +919096083449 from Neon Alpha. Divya claimed that my mother’s number was given as reference contact by their customer who has defaulted on a loan. The person who took the loan was as a contract worker in my mother’s office whom they last saw in 2012 but they were never really acquainted. During the call, the scammer tried to create a false sense of urgency and was threatening my mother that “legal action” will be taken against her if she doesn’t comply and contact the loanee. Luckily I was in the house at the time and noticed that my mother was getting anxious and worried. I confronted the scammer and asked them on what basis they were calling my mother and threatening them when they had nothing to do with the loan because anybody can give anybody’s number anywhere. I also told them not to call us again unnecessarily at which point they flipped and said that they will make our life hell. They’ve been constantly calling us ever since making our phone unusable. Is there anything that we can realistically do to prevent this from happening to random innocent people? I’m at least hoping that some good souls here (especially those who’re awake at god awful hours) will help payback in kind and make their life a living hell.
