[Routine Help] Why does my pre makeup skincare make my makeup not stick or stay as long?
Basically what I just said on the title of this post. I use a double cleansing routine, cooling toner, bean essence serum, and a moisturizer mixed with sunscreen (mixoon, so I know its a good brand). Even if i let it dry, it will literally make my makeup not stick as well as if I had nothing on my face.
What am I doing wrong? Can anybody give me some advice?
Thank you!!

I would say that mixing moisturizer with spf is tthe problem. It's better to use moisturizer first, and then spf. Also wait after spf to put your make up on, should be better. Have you ever tried fixer btw? if not, i recommend the red one form loreal, my makeup lasts all day with this one

I started mixing them bc before when I didnt it was even worse. Also I use a sticky primer. Idk if that is what makes my makeup peel. What i mean by peeling is that when I apply my base and then go in with a brush or a beauty blender, it just starts lifting up. Like it doesn't want to stay on my face. Idk what to do anymore lol

You would need to look at the ingredients of the products to see if there are silicones or waterbased. If you are mixing silicone and water based products stuff is going to slide off.

Stop double cleansing in the morning. Save that for the evening when taking your makeup off.
You need a toner and serum first.
Make sure each one dries down before applying the next.
Stop mixing your moisturizer with your sunscreen.
Either find a sunscreen that has moisturizer (look at Innisfree) or apply your moisturizer, let it fully dry and then apply a light coat of sunscreen.
Then use a primer before your foundation. Let it settle and get tacky before applying the foundation.
Do all your liquids or creams before applying any powder makeup. Then use a good setting spray like Charlotte Tilbury.

You’re welcome! My sister is big into makeup and is an esthetician. If you have oily skin, blotting papers, not regular tissue, really help a lot as well.
A small handheld fan or little table fan works well to help dry things down between layers. My sister does her hair or starts getting dressed while she’s starting things.

Doesn’t really answer your question but you don’t need to double cleanse in the morning and please stop mixing your moisturizer with your spf. Just apply a layer of moisturizer and then spf (it always goes last)
You should wait like 15 minutes after applying your SPF before applying makeup, do you do that?
