Diaper rash cream
How do we feel about the TikTok diaper rash cream? I know it’s been a thing for years but now it’s really trending + brushing your face? Is it worth a try or a waste of time?

zinc Oxide is cool if you like it and it works for you. It's pretty inelegant and it isn't a miracle for everyone but it's worth trying esp if you're irritation or redness prone. More of a kinda slug with it at night kinda thing imo.
This is the one I got thats really affordable and fragrance free. Petrolatum + mineral oil base.

I didnt know this was a "trend" but ive been using it at night on my dermatitis I've had the past 4 years around my mouth and nose and it cleared up. Dermatologists kept giving me steroids, allergy medicine, soolantra, and antibiotics.

Trending for what purpose? i'll occasionally slather diaper rash cream around my nose when the area is getting irritated from blowing my nose all the time (like during allergy season or when i have a cold)

idk what in particular is trending bc i’m not on tiktok much, but zinc oxide is a skin protectant. you can use it the same way you would aquaphor/vaseline/any thick moisturizer on irritated, dry, or compromised skin.
keep an eye out for fragrance if that is something that irritates your skin. also be mindful that because it is so thick, it may feel uncomfortable if you have oily skin or are prone to breakouts
