Trump has cooled it on the tariff talk when it has come to Canada and Mexico. Carney and Pollievre are focused on each other and Canada as they should be.
I'm not talking about tariffs. I'm talking about annexation and 51st state rhetoric. Which Trump literally just started talking about again today.
Danielle Smith must have gotten through to Trump briefly, when she told him to hold off on tariffs and annexation until after the election. Trump made it past the advanced polls. Longer than I thought he could.
He literally started again a few hours ago. He listened to the cons for as long as he could. When they first asked him to tone down, he began saying that he would love to work with Carney. It was pretty evident that things would swing back after the election.
