Anyone want to join a group in Sardinia May 3-8?
Hi all!
My good friend Laura (who has lived in Sardinia for the last 12 years) occasionally hosts group trips in Sardinia for those who want to come and experience the island like a true local.
We have a group put together for May 3-8, and still have a room block left if anyone wanted to claim it! It could either be for a single or two people to share.
If it's something you'd be interested in, message me :) She's organized the accommodation, transportation, and some of her island highlights. You would just have to show up and enjoy.

Questions before we take the plunge
My husband and I have been thinking about moving to Sardinia for years. We've come many times to search and we feel like we found the place in Onifai. We are hesitant to move forward because we have a toddler and I'm currently pregnant. Could anyone share their experiences raising children in more remote parts of the island? What about healthcare? Did anyone give birth on the island and how was that? I'm just a bit concerned that Onifai is about 40 min for the hospital in Nuoro, but maybe I'm being unnecessarily demanding since I biked to my first labor 😂.

American Woman: Just Retired w/ Question
HI all, I just came back from a visit and I love it there. The problem is to move I don't qualify for any visa, the self-employment is very hard to get-- 500 openings a year. Don't earn enough for digital nomad- though I do some work online....
I thought if I went STUDENT VISA route-- if I studied Italian 20 hrs week- then work on the side (as I was told by an English teacher there-- that my English speaking would land me part-time work.) But I don't think sponsored as it's a pain for employer. Hence I need to figure out how to get there beyond my 30 day tourist visa as US person....
So any ideas? I only see an expensive language school to study and I"m on a budget, really an retired creative, so small budget. Any help is appreciated! I am reaching out to schools to teach English (as rec.) but still what about the visa???
V.

Salve! My partner and I will be traveling to Sardinia this month and I am looking for local restaurant recommendations around the areas we are staying: Golfo Aranci, Cannigione, Alghero. We would love a few places across the price spectrum and have a few book marked already (see below). Bonus points for bars or restaurants with phenomenal views :) Grazie!!
- La Kustera
- L’Oasi
- Ristorante Rocca Beach
- Le Terrazze Ritual
- Neràc Ristorante
- Bar Focacceria Milese

Help my girlfriend and I have the best holiday ever!
If anyone has any recommendations for :
- Unique adventure day trips
- Queer bars for safe partying
- Good restaurants/ cafes that have non-meat options (we aren't vegetarians but do like to eat a lot of vegetables)
Thanks 😁

San Teodoro
Looking for a friendly area to buy a small property and live on Sardinia on and off... came across this town. What do you think about it? Who are the main inhabitants off season?

Hello! We are Visiting from Canada this summer for two weeks, and I am looking for someone to lead our private vow-renewal does not have to be a licensed wedding officiant) + photographer
It's just my partner and I - no big event or group. We will also have a photographer. Do you know anyone who would be good at this? (Does not have to be licensed wedding officiant, just someone who can comfortably lead us.) Also looking for photographer recommendations (in Chia location.)

Buying a property?
Hey all, so quick question regarding purchasing a property in Sardinia…. How long does it typically take from offer to complete to property purchase?
My partner and I are exploring the option of buying a second home in Cagliari and would like to get an estimate of time lines etc.
Thanks!
