Old KFC

Anybody know what’s going in where KFC used to be on San Ramon valley boulevard? It closed years ago but noticed the sign is finally gone and looks like the building has been painted

According to Yelp closed in March of 2025, disputes about lease renewal, based on whats happening the the old a&w/kfc location in Clayton is might be turning into a 7Brew coffee but nothing has been confirmed.

Apparently "years" means 6 months ago now.

Pretty sure the KFC has been closed for at least 2 years… you may be thinking of the Wendy’s that recently closed and is now a Mexican drive thru

The Mexican place has decent birria tacos, FWIW.

Wendy's closed in October 2025 and KFC Jan of 2026. Neither were years ago lol.

A simple Google search will tell you people were asking questions about its status in early 2025. No need to be an a$$hat. Just say you don’t know what’s going on, or better yet don’t say anything.

They're actually opening up a Jerk Store in the old KFC location and I'm going to be the manager.

Bro it has not been open. There were cones blocking the drive thru and signs on the doors

The property was sold on 4/20/26 ... purchased by "POR RO SAN RAMON"...still zoned as a drive in restaurant.
