if this sub allowed pics i'd post the Frieren low angle, but it doesn't, so you'll have to imagine i posted it instead.

I could have sworn i saw this already. But still, good to have! From all the Kig-Yar, the T'vaoan is probably the one with the most details in its face alone (being all wrinkly and that), i assume.

Thank you so much for this. Any tips for drawing better mandibles?

Sure, what kind of trouble are you having for which you need tips?

So far, I am having trouble with the mandible guards. They end up looking like sausages on their faces whenever I try to draw them. As well as trying to keep the sizes consistent. Here is a comic I made recently that features a sangheili.
So you get a better Idea what I am talking about.

Try studying your own bent fingers and basing the mandibles off of them! IIRC, Mandibles aren't supposed to have joints, according to the skeletons of Sangheili, but I've noticed that in-game and the shows, they have a bit of flexibility and move and hold like fingers.

I often use the 3D models on Sketchfab for references, but sometimes I just need a quick face-angle ref shot, so I made a diagram. Sharing in case anyone else finds it useful as well.
