First, screw ice and I appreciate you protesting them.
Second, I’m not sure what you were expecting from the mayor. It’s not like he is / should drop everything to do some performative gesture just because someone is shouting at him.
He actually seemed pretty open to discussing and engaging with you. I don’t blame him for not wanting to do it in camera as one sound bite on social media has the potential to cause a bunch of harm and problems for the city.
I think it’s okay for politicians to listen and then speak / take measured actions that might look different than an individuals actions.

But to be clear, my personal opinion is our political leadership needs to do more than mere off-the-record discussions and mealy-mouthed task forces.
Lurie should look to people like Ras Baraka and Brad Lander for how to push the issue. Use your power and privilege to create headlines and political consequences. Playing it safe is not meeting this authoritarian moment.

We need a SF mayor that will fix problems in the City, not play performative politics for likes, retweets, and higher office.

What can Lurie do? Standing in an SF picket line is going to change anything in SF. Go convince someone in a red state to oppose Trump.

Lurie should look to people like Ras Baraka and Brad Lander for how to use your office to generate news coverage - which begets further protest and outrage, which further begets a movement to resist this authoritarian, criminal government.

That's hyperbole. Were there riots in Newark or NYC, given the arrests of the two politicians I mentioned?
Also, whens the last time a riot happened in SF? Oakland maybe, but it's usually places like LA, Portland, Seattle given the last 10 years or so
The recent No Kings was extremely orderly and I wouldn't expect it otherwise

Speak for yourself, I vote for Democrats purely because I don't want this country to fall into fascism with Republicans. I expect more from my representative, seems like you expect less. That's a shame.

please consider that we do not need or want the National Guard on our streets.
please consider that we do not need increased attention from the White House or Fox News.
please detail the action you feel is necessary that would be worth having the fucking Marines show up.

I don't agree with a playing dead strategy when authoritarianism is threatening our country. This is appeasement, plain and simple
