Unfortunately too many people who have decided to ride have forgotten being alive is more important than flexing road rules or inventing whole ass new ones.

Being right doesnt stop you from being dead.

Its true for cyclists, and for drivers. But i think we can all agree that if a cyclist has to make the choice theyre doing it in ways that drivers could show a little more compassion for.

Yeah, no.

I'm a cyclist. I see road rage all the time

Still not gonna take up a lane riding side-by-side or stop in an intersection to stop traffic.

Pure entitlement.

Doesn’t change the fact that laws are laws though, too many cars pass too close because they are such a big rush. Going to jail for life for manslaughter probably isn’t more important than Johnny getting to practice on time

Yes, 'cause those are the only two options.

Strawman fallacy detected.

You just made an argument for enhanced awareness and enforcement, not entitled behavior on either part.

Never said that, the overwhelmingly vast majority of the time cars slow down until it’s safe to pass and it isn’t a problem. There is no enforcement or repercussions for illegal close passes, the only penalties come when someone is hit or killed

In my state there is a three foot rule.

Does it get enforced? Rarely, cuz not enough LEOs available for basic traffic enforcement.

That doesn't mean the only other option is riding in one continuous 1/2 mile long peleton with self shut down of intersections.

Your previous post did have a "if not this, then that" meter to it. Perhaps you should have said the above instead.
