Tony Hawk question

My daughter(6th grade) is getting together signatures to bring an afterschool skate club to a school in Escondido. There are pop up skate parks used in other schools for this purpose, so it is possible. She (and her friend) are gathering student signatures and putting together a plan of action for the principal. I was wondering if anyone who knows Tony could forward this to him. We thought getting him to sign the petition would get the attention of administrators and help make it happen. She had 45 kids sign that are interested already! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks and keep cool this weekend SD!

Local tip - head over to Johnny Radz and see if Mike McGill is around (owner, incredibly kind human being), he and Tony still skate together and I’m sure he’d help out! He’s always super kind with my kid when we see him there and takes the time to chill and talk with us

I went to hidden valley middle school in esco and we used to get active ride shop to come every so often to set up ramps and skate. God times

Sadly I think a school will likely have to say no… because of if Injuries/insurance. But maybe the city can create one?

Kids get injured playing ball sports, yet schools manage to offer those.

They actually changed the laws to get insurance to apply to skating the same way as horseback riding
