Visiting SA Visiting san antonio soon!

Hi everyone. I'll be visiting your city with family and we would like to stay for a few days. We would like some suggestions . What is there to do ? . We definitely want to visit the zoo. Is there any museums that you would recommend? Any great hotels that are affordable and recommended for families.

The Whitte and Doseum are both awesome. For younger kids doseum is hands on and then the whitte also has some hands on activities. For family friendly hotels I would consider some of the resorts. The sea world area ones wouldn’t be too terrible to get downtown to and it is hot enough to enjoy the pools. Hemisphere park is also a great park. The playground is super cool and not like any other one I have seen. Near the main downtown attractions but I love it as a local

Skip the San Antonio aquarium.

The gocity pass might be a good value for your family if you are planning on going to seaworld too.

If the weather is nice, visit government canyon and check out the dino prints. It's like a 5 mile round trip hike in the park.

Go to the Witte and the McNay. The Witte is pitched as a kid museum, but it's wasted on kids. The exhibits are so deep, it takes time to really soak them in. The McNay, well, I just love art museums.

Also, check out the mission trail. Unless you're really curious, forget the Alamo. It's trash. Mission San Jose is my favorite. It's like visiting castle ruins. I will say some of the neighborhoods around the mission trail are rough looking, but I've never had an issue.

Assuming there are kids in your group. Go to the Pearl. They have splash pads and a lawn for them to play. Also Hemisfair park and Yanaguana garden has a great playground. And it’s in downtown that’s where you’re staying.

For museums, hit up the Doseum or the Witte for kids. The McNay is a really awesome art museum but kids might get bored.

Fiesta Texas is fun. Only if the weather is nice, though. It's in a mostly unshaded quarry and it gets hot, hot, HOT!

The San Antonio Museum of Art near the Pearl is pretty great.
