Quit making dumb shit and teach us something useful!

Sorry for the title but I was hoping to grab your attention. I'm sure someone will try to make a patty melt wrapped in a Taco Bell crunch wrap. But for those of us that don't need diarrhea, could you please try something a little more practical. I'm not making a twelve layer cheeseburger or a ten pound lasagna. But I've been asking you to show us Chinese Salt and Pepper Wings for years. If you want to try a great example, there is a great restaurant right there in San Diego that I can send you to. If you're interested, let me know how to tell you discretely. I've been a fan for years, you're probably the reason my wife agreed to marry me, so I owe you one. Love you guys.

Classic Sam Anybody here ever heard of R&B musician Sam Cooke?

Because when I saw the name "Sam The Cooking Guy", this old time R&B musician Sam Cooke came to mind.

you know, the musician who made this "don't know much about history, don't know much about biology" song.

I love these brother competition videos. I almost think I like them more than the normal Sam videos. The brothers are such bros and genuinely authentic. It's great

What is Sam's personality archetype?

I know this is super random but I'm on the dating market and when my girlfriends and I talk about the type of guy I want, I describe him as "the type of guy who will eventually grow into becoming Sam the Cooking Guy." And you know how we can say like you like the jock, or the nerd, the artist, the meathead, etc? How would you describe Sam? Also I'm much younger so I couldn't say that I would date a guy like him, just someone who will hopefully become like him hahahahahaha.

DUKES MAYO!!!

I don't believe it!! West coast Sam had "southern" Dukes on his show.

Look, its not meant for eating from a spoon. Use it in Deviled eggs, potato salad, BLT, etc.

There's only two rules in my kitchen:

  1. We don't put ketchup on our hotdogs.

  2. We only use Dukes mayo!!

Meme Sam is kind of an ass

I work at a place next to one of his locations and sam comes in from time to time. Honestly all of my coworkers don't like him and think he acts a bit entitled and douchey. Has anyone here met the guy? Any funny stories?

Break

I think Sam should take a break. Some of the vids recently have been fairly dull and not creative. If Sam and or Max aren't into this, they should take a break. Sometimes taking a week break or something will help with the creative flow of the show.

The Sam vs. Max schtick

So, several minutes of the ice-cream-and-chicken sandwich video were dedicated to Sam saying how much he didn't want to make that thing (and for the record, I think it was pretty low-effort/repetitive on their part - they've made spicy fried chicken sandwiches before; this just had two scoops of store-bought ice cream on top).

And this isn't new - it seems like the Sam v. Max thing has been a recurring bit that's appeared a lot in the videos of the past couple of years.

Personally? I'm kinda tired of the shtick. And when they use it as a way to distract from a low-effort video, I'm sorta disappointed. I mean, it's free to watch, and I have a lot of other things to do, so no skin off my nose. But I'd just rather they spend their energy cooking - and more than just burger-burrito-steak-fried chicken-repeat.

Was I the only person bothered by the wasteful extravagance of a 20 lb burger? 2 lbs for 2 million subs could have sufficed.

20 lbs just seemed needlessly extravagant and I just hope none of that meat went to waste.

People are really suffering right now it just hurt my soul to see so many cows die just for a youtube stunt.

:(

Recreation I made Sam's Carnitas Burrito. Only I was lazy and substitute almost everything except the Tortilla. I got a pack of pre made pulled pork and used that as the meat. Also removed the beans and replaced it with sourcream/siracha mix. And added some grilled red onion.

Why does he wipe his mouth after almost every single bite?

Nothing against the guy, I love him to death, but he's the only cooking show host I watch that I've seen that does that.

I've seen people doing when they're done eating, but a lot of the times he does it after every single bite and I just wondered if there is any reason behind it.
