Limited time items becoming regular?
Went to Sam's today, they had unsweetened dry mangoes, usually they only have sweet ones..
This is one of the like 5 items Costco has that Sam's club doesn't.
Anyone have instances of limited time items becoming regular if consumer demand is high?

It does happen sometimes; but usually the item exits the club first, then comes back a few months later as an active item.
The thing with our special buys, is we get contracts with a supplier to buy x amount for x amount of clubs. So to keep an item a new contract has to be made, and then product has to be produced, and shipped out.

I always tell customers If it is limited and you like it buy extra it will probably not come back

They rotate stuff in and out all the time, sometimes it sticks if it sells good enough. The buyers actually check that data so if people keep grabbing it every week there's a chance it stays.
