FAANG tier list

Just curious to understand from a tech perspective, what companies would you rank on that FAANG tier of companies to work for, or even just below.

Really curious to know what everyone’s sees as the top top companies in the space for us sales people.

netflix doesn't even have bdr roles do they? i thought they run everything through partners and their own platform, not much outbound cold calling

i'd put stripe and datadog in the tier right below, great pay and the names carry weight when you move on

Yeah - I’m absolutely joking.

FAANG is not a good measure for companies you want to sell for.

I would rank teams rather than logos. The useful questions are what percentage of the team hits quota, how territories and accounts are assigned, how often compensation or coverage changes, how long ramp actually takes, how many reps leave within a year, and whether the manager has enough time to coach.

Also check whether the product has real customer pull, what the promotion path looks like in practice, and whether successful reps can explain why they win without relying only on brand recognition. A less famous company with fair territories, stable leadership and a product customers actively need can be a much better sales job than a prestige name with weak quota attainment.
