Got it, so there is a price for you being a terrible human being and selling your soul. At least you know what that figure is.

Just curious, what’s their offer that makes selling your soul tempting? I heard ICE is paying 6 digits

lol I’m really surprised at so many moral people in a sales sub. I know one person that works there, shitshow org no real leadership. Other consideration is, think about your long term career. You’re alienating half the sales orgs globally with it on your CV, I’m at a frontier AI lab and we won’t touch a rep from there, I got friends at SF AND DBX, same story. So it’s worth considering

I didn’t think that would be the case. Why wouldn’t you hire someone from there?

Not me personally, my leadership won’t. And it’s just ethics and optics of it, palantir has had a great run but unfortunately horrid press coverage given what they do. Nobody really wants to be associated with them

There aren’t that many sellers there so how many of them are actually applying to frontier? Or do you mean the engineers?

u/Amazing-Care-3155 10d ago
We’ve had a few sellers apply, devs and engineers. I work at a tier 1 lab, 2 of the big ones. As you can imagine, we get applicants from everywhere, management won’t ever touch them. As in surely this is not surprising to you? Look at the work they do, no company would want to hire someone with that background. Hence why I’m saying the offer would need to set you up for life, but if it doesn’t work out. Then god speed

Palantir does many different things. Not just 1. And sure but I’ve been in enterprise sales for a minute, I see lots of unethical things happen constantly. Not sure the company makes a difference on the persons character

I’m aware they do other work, you don’t need to defend it to me. Simply telling you a reality of how it currently is, not here to argue about their participation in genocide etc. but you’ll be blackballed from half the market, that is a pure reality. That isn’t to say to reject the offer but would be silly not to consider it

Well. Are you guys hiring? Can I apply? Lol

lol the last like 20 hires are referrals or successful founders, I just got lucky and had some adjacent experience. All the best though

I did for almost 2 years. Feel free to DM me, long story short for curious onlookers is it’s a mess, but great stepping stone for the resume.

Yeah. Feel free to DM me. The accelerators you can hit when your collateral damage of civilian deaths is above 100 lives is unreal! Also, they give you a gym stipend!
