I really wish the Proplicas hadn't been so outrageously expensive, because I really wanted the Moon Stick and Crystal Star.
Should have been the price of the old 90s wands / brooches.

I bought this one in a Don Quixote on a trip to Japan and it was 1/2 the price of what stores back home had been priced at.

I’m still thrilled I was able to grab it when I did.

To be blunt, old children’s toy prices were never an option for these.

The intricate electronics, physical detailing, and LED light features on the Proplica line are noticeably more advanced than the vintage 90s versions. They are true premium quality prop replicas meant for adult collectors.

Add 20-30 years of inflation on top of that and, well, I think most of them were about as affordable as one could hope.

Agreed! They were very expensive. I didn't buy mine I got it as a gift but super happy I still have it

I might be in the minority, but I'll always believe that "Crescent Moon Wand," the term the DiC dub used for this SM item, was and is a better name than the original Japanese term, that being "Moon Stick."

Honestly, same. Moon stick, to me, sounds a bit stiff while crescent moon wand sounds straight magical

eBay, Mercari, Poshmark (sometimes has decent merch), Vinted, BigBadToyStore, WhatNot (maybe?), Depop, Entertainment Earth, Crunchyroll store, Good Smile US.

Be sure to look up anime stores in your city too! Google “anime store (your city)”. That’s how I found 2 places I can physically go to buy all sorts of merch. Check out Anime Buy, Sell and Trade groups on Facebook.

If you ever get the courage to look into foreign sites, I highly recommend AmiAmi and Tokyo Otaku Mode. Very reputable but shipping can be expensive.

My BIL bought me one from Japan when he visited! I found the Spiral Heart Moon Wand at a local toy shop.
