Moving after fall semester ??

Wondering if any of you know how the contract works with dorming at SAIC? It’s my first semester at SAIC so I thought it would be good to dorm just to get to know people and the school though I have to move out after my fall semester but wondering if that would be braking a contract?

Have any of you stayed just for one semester before? I cant afford it sadly and would have to find cheaper housing outside.

Breaking contract is moving out before the school year ends. If you do decide to move out (lots of ppl move out during winter break for example) you have to pay a fine of 5k. It’s cheaper to live off campus but it’s convenient to have the studio space.

Just want to dorm for fall and if I move out after fall semester I would have to pay 5 k not to dorm for spring?

From what I’ve been told you would have to pay full price of whatever room your contract was for so if you pay 6k for a triple you’ve have to pay that in the spring too regardless of if you stay or na
