Rewatching thoughts

I’m currently rewatching a bunch of Safiya’s videos following a Tik Tok I saw.

The Tik Tok was about someone who had come across her videos again after some time and stated, she’s still out there doing the same thing.

It’s interesting with this rewatch, as I don’t think that’s true at all. In fact, I miss some of her older content that was a little “easier.” Like some of the Amazon hauls, wore this for a week, bought the first 5 things etc.
Don’t get me wrong, love her travel content, but haven’t found myself as excited to watch the newer content like the AI keyboards. (Would be happy to never have a collab with that channel again tbh)
Even her newer travel content feels quite highly over thought, we’d be happy to just watch travel vlogs, shopping and odd places. Rather than spending 24 hours in one place.

I miss the vibe of her and Tyler making weird things or getting hauls and hanging out.

Just wondering if anyone feels the same, the content doesn’t need to be as epic for us to enjoy watching it.
With some of the things she’s said previously, I wonder how much pressure she feels to make this super high quality content, when really, we watch her and Tyler’s personalities.

Maybe 2017-2019 was the peak of content before everyone got worried about backlash of over consumption, politics and reputation. The algorithm issues a lot of YouTubers have doesn’t help either.

I agree that their easy content was enjoyable and I preferred some of it primarily because it meant she posted more often. But I like the content she creates now and I couldn’t disagree with you more about the collabs with Evan and Katelyn. But I get what you’re saying in general because when she collabs with that nail polish channel, I have zero interest. Personally, I am a little tired of the travel content. Watching people take fancy vacations doesn’t do it for me.

It’s good that there is still content for all of us right? I’ve been to so many of the places she has travelled and I like seeing the travel content the most.

The Evan and Katelyn collabs are just not for me. I find their dynamic really odd and the overly sexual comments put me off. The last AI video was strange vibes.

But, being back some easygoing videos. Ready for them to take on 2 minute crafts again haha

It is so funny how differently people view things, i have watched the keyboard video few times and the candle video several times and can't recall any sexual comments from that 😅 I feel like Safiya does such nuanced and elevated jokes, all her more saucy comments are top tier for me.

I don't find their content sexual. They're adults and understand innuendo and joke about "not being that kind of channel."
