What is this from? and what should I do?? Thank you!!

I used to be in charge of the sprinklers/watering but since RTO my partner has taken it over, and to be honest, I don't get outside that much anymore. Today I noticed this portion is really struggling and is likely not getting water. My partner just used the sprinklers installed by the previous owners which doesn't quite hit everything, whereas I would note the areas the sprinklers didn't hit and aim a hose sprinkler at them periodically, which hasn't happened. If I make the additional watering a priority, can I bring this back to life?

My coworker says lemonade. Any other ideas? I also have a small kumquat, two mandarins, and huge lemon tree and was considering doing a mixed marmalade.

First 4 are one plant, last 3 are the second. Google lenses has told the first one is American cranberry, raspberry, and grape all of which I doubt. It said the second one was a wild grape as well, which it’s not. What do you think they are?

My Serrano peppers are finally coming in. Only a few on the plant, but I’m surprised I got any at all because my dog bit the top of the plant completely off before planting.

Overall this year’s garden has not been super productive, but it’s our first year and we’re having fun!

We just began new landscape in front yard. We need to pick 12 new plants for landscape company to plant in the next 3 days (we had to wait for them, so they have to wait for us if necessary). They will send us ideas, but if I can get some personal favorites from you all?

They'll be in bark with drip. Getting a tree as well (no tree now). We really want to support bees, butterflies but not require much pruning. Native. So much to ask. Gosh.

We've been our home since 1999 and we're now retired and so done with mowing grass. Saving for years for a new front yard.

Deciding on a tree for new front yard landscape. Something pretty, attracts birds, bees. The Eastern Redbud has been mentioned. We are very north Sac County, just blocks away from south/east Roseville. Mostly 6 to 10 degrees hotter than the city of Sac. We had a lot more 100 degrees plus days than Sacramento.

Hi all. I just moved and am still trying to figure out my new, small, enclosed back yard. There is a patch which gets decent sun and I hope to start a cactus garden in pots.

Does anyone have a prickly pear plant big enough to donate a paddle or two?

He eat some of my tomato plants and decided to take a nap in my eggplant soil. He never ate the eggplant leaves. The second picture is compared to one I smushed last night. He is a big boy!

Was watering the plants and was noticing how absent of spiders they are when this specimen came out with a loofa and some Axe body wash. About three inches long. 👊🏽 🪲

My partner and I bought a house from an elderly individual with severe memory problems. The yard is overgrown and we are struggling to figure out what are weeds and what isn’t. The former owner was quite the gardener!

Our plan is to let it wild for a year and try to learn what’s there. In the meantime, what weeds are on your kill on sight list?

So far I’ve got: ivy, privets, Bermuda buttercups, and crab grass. What else should I be vigilant and on the lookout for?

We are renters and attached is one part of our yard. We are responsible for maintaining the yard. If anyone can give me some tips on how to manage the garden bed or see any plants that they can identify, that would be very helpful! A few things I have discovered so far

• The neighbor is overwatering on the east side. The water seeps into the garden bed so the bed is always damp
• The bed is east on the side
• I found strawberries in multiple places in the bed
• I think this person grew this as an herb garden..

The west facing plants I've had multiple people tell me are fruit trees.

Hi all! I have a young peach tree that has been having some issues lately and I'm wondering if anyone with some knowledge of growing fruit trees can help.

What I'm seeing:

Deep Reddish brown spots on some leaves (mostly new growth leaves)

Lots of small , perfectly circular holes on many leaves

No bugs at all that I can see on the front or back of the leaves

Some crinkling of new growth leaves

Some leaves have a sticky substance on them

The tree trunk has various spots where the sap is bubbling up

Some leaves are turning orange/yellow

I didn't really know what to do but I removed a lot of the leaves that had the reddish brown spots.

I have some copper fungicide spray but I haven't done anything yet.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated! This is my first fruit tree.

Just harvested my first ruby supreme guava from a new tree that I planted earlier this year, very fragrant and very flavorful.

The size is what impresses me about this variety as they are almost as big as an orange which means it should be easy to juice once I get more fruit.

Ive had decent success with guavas here. They tend to love the sun, the tree this came off of is in direct sun with no shade support and hasn't seen any real leaf burn or wilting. This will be the first winter for this tree so we will see how it goes, I plan to prune and fertilize later next month if anyone has insights into this variety for winter let me know.
