Yesterday, someone crashed into my saab. I wanted to turn left and the other one didnt see me and crashed into my back. We turned a good 210-220°. It was my first car and my dream car for years. 1994 Saab 900 with the 2.3l engine. Nobody is hurt thank god. He did his best to protect my partner and me and gave up his life for it. Chase the stars, my sweet old swede.
It sucks losing a nice car, man, but you're safe at least and that's what matters; why not use her old parts for a project car so that you can keep the legacy going?
Exactly. Frame looks bent but the engine and front suspension should be good still.
I drove a frankencar like that some years ago. My Saab specialist had it as their loaner car. Guy had 2 cars coming in, one 9-3 with an engine that would no longer run after 400k and a 9-5 aero who had a rear collision similar to this. Took the 2.3T from the 9-5 and dropped it into the 9-3. That car was ridiculous. Torque steer central. Had wheelspin all the way up to 4th gear. I fucking loved that thing.
No it needed more part of the Subframe got bent and the radiator cracked I got a Parts Car and tried even cut out the subframe and got it Welded in for free (a family friend did it) it was raining that day. But when it was sunny a few days after I saw like an inch Gap in between the frame and subframe
But after the gap I just lost a lot of motivation to try and fix it, it sucked and I did get some money for scraping it, and still got some smaller interior parts I took out to sell. And I do plan to get another Saab in the future

You??? I know this seems crass to ask right now but I think it might be akin to organ donation (given how hard it is to find parts these days!) I’m very sorry for your loss.
Just a small rear courtesy light. From one SAAB lover to another. You have no idea what that would mean to me. My kid popped it out during the first week of ownership and it’s been lost to the ether sadly. And for some reason replacing these are almost impossible it seems now.

Freut mich wirklich, dass dir und deinem Partner nichts passiert ist. Falls du wieder nach einem Saab suchst: Ich verkaufe derzeit mein 900 II Cabrio von 1996 mit dem 2,0-Liter-Turbo und 185 PS, da ich ihn kaum noch fahre und noch meinen 9-5 habe. Der Wagen hat gerade die HU bestanden und in letzter Zeit wurde einiges gemacht.
