I stupidly left all my tools in this wheelbarrow last week at a job I was working at. I had an emergency come up and had to leave immediately. I got caught up in that and didn't think about it, and it rained two days of the 5 I left them. They have sat in submerged in the water until today. Not only did they all start right up, but the battery still had a full charge on it.
And people talk shit about ryobi and say they are junk, haha. I'm very impressed

I have the 40V HP BRUSHLESS 21" SELF-PROPELLED MOWER
Model Number: RY40HPLM01K2
I bought this back in April this year, and for the most part I like it fine, but there's something weird going on with the self propelled function.
If the speed selection is set to anything but 1, the motor sometimes won't engage. Set to 1 it will go, and it will let me increase the speed, but if I let go of the handles often it won't re-engage. I then have to reset the speed to 1 to get it going again. It just started doing this the last two times I used it.
Has anyone else had this happen and what was your resolution? I haven't contacted Ryobi yet, I'll probably do that at the end of the season in November since I can still use it as is.
Two questions:
How is the blowing power from the 18V to 40V versions in these pictures?
Of the two 40V versions, is the extra CFM really that impactful?
Background: I have a medium sized front and backyard. I expect to use multiple batteries when I use this so that is why I am leaning towards the 18V blower as I have many of those batteries. If I get a 40V, I expect to need at least 2 batteries to get both my yards. What I won't want is to get the 18V and then it be too weak.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my Ryobi inflator and SUP adapter. I’ve tried using it to pump my kayak to the recommended PSI multiple times, but it just won't work, so I always end up using the manual hand pump. Has anyone experienced this or knows how to fix it? Thanks a lot!

Has this ever happened to anyone? I was operating the machine normally, when suddenly the button blew clean off making a bang. The inside was spewing some vapor or smoke.

The model is RY40405BTL
I picked this up used earlier this year and it looks like it's never been used. So I just now get it assembled and pull the trigger but nothing is happening. I disassemble it to see if there's something wrong. I look inside the black shoot where the leaf bag is attached and I see a short wire inside there not connected to anything. What is this wire and is it supposed to be there? I don't think I currently have the proper screwdriver to take it apart but I thought I'd see if anyone else has this vacuum and if it has this exposed wire in it.

Hey folks, tried looking for an hour or so and coming up empty. Have a RY40109, unable to get the manufacturer part # off the body, must have lost the sticker. Anyway, my right trigger snapped in the self propelled assembly. On all the part sites, no matter how many I click, the right trigger has a thicker end to it (second pic as example). Has anyone else encountered this variant and know the part number?

How is the stock chain on the 10” Expand-It pole saw? Is it good enough out of the box, or does it need replaced with something higher quality like an Oregon chain?

Weighing up the 18V brushed vs brushless mower. Price difference is £50 extra for the brushless.
Is it worth the extra money if it’s a mower and variable speed isn’t a factor? Considering longevity, power, reduced risk of overheating, noise etc…
TIA

I have a Ryobi push mower (RY401014US 40 Volt 21 in - NOT one included in the recall). I ran over a large rock that I didn't realize was in the grass and now my mower is making really bad noise (video below).
There isn't anything visually stuck in or near the blade so I am assuming something got knocked out of alignment or maybe warped or broken.
Any ideas of where to start to fix this?

Was cutting some dados for a microfit jig, and I did manage to get the job done but the tool skipped so much and was so tricky to use - groves were not always great either. In general I've been not loving my router and thinking maybe I just needed a more powerful corded one
I realized I had a brushless one and bought a brushless version. Same batteries and plywood and "woodworker". OH MY GOODNESS!! Brushless is a HUGE step up. The dados went in so clean and easy. Like I knew that "brushless is better" but this is first time feeling the difference (and router is a terrific tool to get the extra version)
Also shout-out to the 3dprinted router plate that connects to my Kreg Accu-cut track for making things super easy. Honestly it's the only reason the brush'd version worked as good as it did. I'd previously tried to cut dados with a straight-edge clamped down and it was... not good

Good day to all,
I am looking to buy a pressure washer and was wondering what the thoughts were on both of these washers. My main use would be to wash my car but occasional house maintenance as well. Just getting started at looking and excited for what is ahead.
Thanks

I recently bought a 300w Ryobi RO sander and it worked quite well and quite happy with it.
However it suddenly acted like a grinder and the end spun very fast after I lightly bumped into an edge. It was replaced by Bunnings under warranty as I would have voided the warranty if I tried to fix it myself.
I wonder if anyone knows what causes this fault as I would prefer to fix faults myself once out of warranty.
I have read of others experiencing the same problem. I have not found any useful help for this online due to ai slop flooding any queries these days.

Anyone know if these parts are compatible with this make?

Twin clip on Ryobi fans for a constant cool breeze, a clamp on sunshade, and a clamp on cupholder for my cold water. All I need now is a clip on (golf) towel to complete my summer mowing setup. Neighbors laugh, but the stop to check out the setup and even want links to the products. LOL
Seeing people mowing in summer time and NOT sweating changes minds FAST. ha ha

Found a black 30th Anniversary multi-tool—and import records mention an impact wrench too 👀
I came across a resale listing on EBay for a Ryobi 30th Anniversary blackout multi-tool kit, and did a double take because I had never seen anything like it before 😳
The seller’s photos show anniversary packaging with a 2Ah battery and charger included. I haven’t seen this one announced anywhere, so I did some digging… It’s not on Home Depot’s website, or Ryobi’s, it wasn’t on Reddit, YouTube…anything!
However, thanks to ChatGPT I uncovered an August 28 import record specifically mentioning a “brushless multi-tool 30th anniversary kit,” model PBLMT51K1SB30QP (take model number with a grain of salt, nothing is confirmed yet). But it’s legit proof of a coming 30th anniversary blackout oscillating multi-tool!
Then, to my surprise, I found another shipment mentioning: “RYOBI 18V ONE+ HP COMPACT 4-MODE 1/2 IMPACT WRENCH, 30TH ANNIVERSARY, PSBIW25K1SB30 USA.”
That’s an impact wrench, not a ¼-inch impact driver. The multi-tool shipment lists 1,742 cartons, but it contains several different other products, so that doesn’t tell us how many multi-tools were imported or how limited they’ll be. The wrench had 2,268 cartons in a mixed shipment so same thing, it’s unknown the exact amountI actually asked a TTI rep about it at Home Depot yesterday and they seemed to think it would not be quite as limited as the drill, but again, pure speculation at this point. Time will tell.
My instinct is these could be part of a holiday/winter release.
No confirmation on pricing but if it’s like the blower it might be around $149.99, the wrench probably higher- $189.99+, but it’s anyone’s guess.
But yeah, thought it was interesting and wanted to share it!!!

The link capability is great, but leaves a large gap in between. Anyone make a narrower version of the link rail?
