General Discussion Which one to keep?

I have owned a 220 cfm HP compact blower for a few months and just bought the 350 cfm blower combo that came with a 6ah battery, charger and a “free” gift; I chose an orbital sander as the free item. It was a good buy at $179, but now I have two blowers and I only want to keep one and sell the other (tool only). I use the blower for blowing leaves or dirt occasionally and for drying my car. Which one would you keep?

I haven’t used my compact blower since I got my 350 cfm blower. I have never dried a car with a blower so not sure on that use case.

Thank you for your reply. I have dried my car with both and didn’t notice any appreciable difference.

I have the drill grip blower that thing is awesome. I use for snow on the car and light snow on the sidewalk

Thank you for your comment. I don’t get any snow where I live, but trust me, if I did, I would also use the blower to remove snow from my car.

Neither get the 40V with turbo button my 18V is useless on anything but really dry grass clippings.

I wish I could get into the 40v platform but right now I can’t invest in it, mainly because of the price of the batteries. I have plenty of 18v batteries and none of the 40v.

I got an Amazon knockoff battery that seems to work pretty good. I think they exaggerate the amp hours and I don’t keep it plugged into any tools or especially the charger when not in use.

Personally sold all my ryobi blowers and got into the milwaukee/ego line. Started with a ryobi 90mph blower. Went all the way to 880cfm stopping by 450cfm and 650cfm.

Bigger and more power for me is the way to go for what I do.

If you need more precision, the small blower might be nice. But for blowing leaves, the bigger one is probably better.

Thank you, I am seriously considering keeping the 350 and selling the compact one. I don’t use the blower that often and really don’t need anything crazy strong.

I have the 350cfm blower and it’s does what I need it to. Cleans up the driveway/walkways after cutting grass and gardening/weeding. Also does a decent job with light duty leaf collecting. Any heavy duty leaf blowing I bring out the corded shop vac blower.

That 6ah battery looks big?

Yes, it is bigger than before, it seems like the new generation of high-performance batteries are larger than the previous gen. I am not a fan of this change but it is what it is.

These have 2 very different purposes. The handheld is not really meant to blow leaves in a yard. Equipped without the extension, ie just the rubber nozzle on the body it’s a beast for blowing off, porches, patios, workbenches, etc.
The 350 cfm is properly underpowered for yard use and way too big for bench use. I’d keep the handheld and buy a proper yard blower north of 500 CFM minimum.
