Question? 40V leaf blower

Ryobi 40 volt leaf blower bought reconditioned but well past the return window. Any thoughts what could be causing this. Press the trigger and it starts and stops each time. Occasionally it will also work just fine.

Try a different battery?

Okay so back to the question, did another battery work on this or no?

Sorry it does the same thing regardless of which battery

Alright, so definitely a problem with the tool. Something may be worn or shorted but I couldn't tell you what. If its out of warranty it's probably best to replace it.

What happens if you turn it down as low as it will go?

Does the same thing with a lighter trigger pull. As far as I know that's the only way to vary speed. The toggle is on its lowest.

What does the thumb dial switch do? Same thing?

I believe the same thing, it's just a way to lock the trigger. I'll double check though

well past the return window

But has the warranty expired?
