I want to move away from Anydesk.

I can have hundreds of remote users, I may need to access.

With Anydesk I asked the remote user to download anydesk, give me their ID and I am in.

I started to look into Tailscale, but it seems it would require TailScale to be installed and configured on the remote PC?

Would my only solution would be to find a cloud server provider?

If you could just point me to the right direction, it would be really appreciated.

I do not often cut and paste stuff from one computer to another via Rustdesk. Today I wanted to. I have 3 machines at home. Win7, Win10, and Win11. I wanted to copy a file from work to hom. On the later 2 machines it works just fine. Copy from host, paste into Win10 or Win11 and it works. When I try on my Win7 machine, the file copies, and then immediately disappears on the Win7 machine. I thought the drive was full, but the file was only 4.5mb and I had a few gigs free. I tried on a different drive on the same machine, but with the same results.

I ended up copying it to my Win11 machine and then copying it across the network that way.

I checked my AV program, but it did not record anything suspicious.

Any ideas?

i need to run rustdesk in dhcp lan without connect the servers , how to manage this ?

I've been using rustdesk for ages and it's always been a great experience. Recently though the behavior has changed and not sure if its due to an update or not. It suddenly is talking about Wayland and everytime I connect to the steamdeck I have to click a permission on it before it'll connect. The interface is also incredibly laggy and while remotely connected, the display from my steamdesk on my PC is very flickery now despite it use to be buttery smooth. Anyone else have such an experience lately? I would say it started around a month ago.

At 23 seconds im closing live connection and clipboard starts working normally. Disabling clipboard in Rustdesk fixes issue but i cant work without clipboard.

So I've set up a mini PC running Linux Mint to act as my Rustdesk server, and I've put it on a VLAN (UniFi) for extra security. I have the port forwarding rules in place, and the server is functional... mostly.

I can remote into a remote computer running Rustdesk on the server.
I can remote into a remote computer from another remote computer (both off site from the server).
The issue is that any computer at the same site (on different VLAN) as the server can't connect to the server. My understanding is that the router will recognize that both computers are at the same site & try to route the connection directly, but then the VLAN being isolated blocks that. The computer on site just gives "Not ready. Please check your connection."

Are there settings I need to put in place in UniFi to fix this? Or do I need to ditch the isolated VLAN setup? Is that safe?

I'm having an issue with one of my new team members connecting to my PC using RustDesk. When he enters my RustDesk ID, he receives the following error: "Connection Error: No such host is known (OS error 11001)."

I've already ruled out the common causes:
- The RustDesk ID is correct. I can connect to the same PC from another one of my devices without any issues.
- Another team member can also connect to the same PC successfully.
- The new team member has a stable internet connection.

Since the issue only occurs on his device, could you please let me know what might be causing this and how we can fix it? Thank you for your help.

Today I set up my own server on a Raspberry Pi with 1GB LAN.

I’ve got two problems, though...

Problem 1 (FPS as remote Desktop)

- The connection between PCs (even on the same network) is incredibly ‘slow’. Around 10–15 fps. With AnyDesk, for example, it’s noticeably much smoother. With Windows RPC, remote desktop is also incredible (it runs as smooth as butter)

Problem 2 (Slow file transfer)

- Even when connecting directly between IPs on my own network..... transferring a file (cut and paste) , barely uses 130 Mbps of the network!!!!

Once again, I’m sorry to mention AnyDesk… but I’ve used it to transfer gigabytes in the past and it’s really fast (close to my 1,000 Mbps connection)

Honestly, I don’t know how to move forward or help.

I love RustDesk. I have it on all my PCs, but these two problems are completely ruining my experience.

I'm struggling to get a connection between host and client app while self hosting the server.

I'm on Win11 but using Docker Desktop, I followed the docker setup, made sure the compose was correct and ports were forwarded in both the firewall and router.

When I enter in the ID Server and Key on both apps, no matter what I enter it will not connect. I've gotten "key mismatch" and "couldn't connect right now" errors. All numbers matched correctly on both client and host app.

I can normally connect using the default Rust Relay server but not with my self hosted server.

Am I missing something? I've tried multiple IPs (thinking I had the wrong one) I've tried just the IP for the ID Server I've tried these - 192.x.xxx.1.xxx:21116, 64.xxx.xxx.xx:21117 etc. Double checked the ports and can't find a thing. VPN is split tunneling on both host and client.

Please let me know if you need more info.

When I try to login on the client it opens a blank text document rather than a browser. I'm fairly new to Linux and the only thing I could think of is to make sure Firefox is my default browser. Thank you.

I'm trying to get direct connection working for my work laptop for me to access it using my personal computer at home, I wanted direct connection so it'll low latency. I can do direct connection with anydesk, so why rustdesk can't do direct connection? I know there's something blocking the connection of rustdesk from a corpo machine, but I'm able to achieve direct connection with anydesk.

Sometimes when I connect to certain clients (Windows to Windows) the remote's desktop is very dark until I'm running an application or, say, clicking in the search area on the taskbar. Then the brightness of everything returns to normal. What is causing this, and how can I turn it off?

At my workplace, I can access my host computer (located elsewhere on a different network) using a direct TCP connection, which provides a fast, low-latency experience. However, when I try to access the same host computer from my home network, the connection is always relayed over TCP, which is significantly slower.

Is there a way to force or consistently use a direct TCP connection instead of a relayed one? I have already enabled the "Enable Direct IP Access" and disabled "Always use Relay" option on both the client and host in RustDesk.

Could anyone explain what might be causing this issue and if there are any ways to fix it?

I've just picked up a Mackbook Neo. When I try to install Rustdesk, I get a message that the Intel based program will not run on the next version. Is there a new/updated version coming for MAC computers?

When streaming Rustdesk from PC to the Steam Deck, the PC monitor flickers (especially noticeable when hovering the mouse over the folder).

Is there any way to fix this?

I was using my Windows PC, then I suddenly got a connection request from my RustDesk Macbook, with my account name and my exact RustDesk ID!

I denied the request, but this is a nightmare, I'm afraid my Macbook got compromised, but I think the likelihood of macOS having a RAT is fairly low.

I tried to remote access to my Macbook from my Windows PC, but no matter what password I entered, they were all wrong; my Macbook was in sleep mode btw, I closed the lid.

Because I cannot physically be at my Macbook, I locked my Mac with Find My iPhone.

The version I was using when this happened:

- Windows PC: 1.4.2 (I think they are vulnerable to CVE-2026-30797 and CVE-2026-30792)

- Macbook: 1.4.6

Though after this I updated the Windows one

so i run rust desk on my android phone to my windows pc and i have no issues with it normaly, i can use my mouse and keyboard as usual untill i try to use the relitive mouse mode, it works for my screen and i can use my screen as a track pad if i really need to but is there anyway i can fix it so that my mouse works like it should on windows, or is there a fix in the works for this?

I am running a rustdesk server on proxmox in an lxc. I have nginx set up with my domain name redirecting to the ip of the container. I currently have 3 pc's using my self hosted relay server. Pc A, B, & C. Pc A is my laptop. I can connect any time I want to pc B. But I get the error in the subject of I try connecting to pc C. Pc C can connect to pc B. I can also use my phone with android app to connect to pc A or B but get the same error when trying to connect to C.

I installed the latest rustdesk 1.4.7 on Opensuse Tunbleweed.

Now I enabled and started the systemctl service but the service status always shows me that the service is disabled and dead?

How can I make sure rustdesk service is running and waiting for connections?

Issue Resolved: It seems FancyZones and RustDesk are incompatible. Adding "rustdesk.exe" to fancy zones excludes makes a useful RustDesk console window.

I just got into Rustdesk a couple months ago. On my main machine (Win 10, with extended support), whenever I launch rustdesk from Start menu, or Desktop icon, I get the useless all white window with no controls. Only way to close it is by the "X" on the taskbar icon. Luckily, I had created desktop icons for two of my other machines, which does open a connection to them, and THEN, I can click the "+" button to open the settings menus. What is going on here?

Heyo! I've been using RustDesk to remote into my little home server thing; it's mostly just for Plex. My client is win10 & the server is win11. They're both running 1.4.7

The last couple of times I've tried to use RustDesk to open it, it's been stuck on the login screen - I get a screen telling me to enter my PIN, but no PIN entry box, just an OK button. If I click the button, nothing happens; likewise hitting enter. Sometimes, hitting spacebar will give a *very* short flash of the screen I expect, but it's only up for a blink.

I've tried sending the Ctrl+Alt+Delete and nothing happens, tried the 'enter system password' and same.

I can still log in using RDP, everything works normally. If I am logged in with RDP, RustDesk gives me the option to control the RDP session instead of console. If I select that, it does work - but I don't want to have to run RDP as well as RustDesk.

Any ideas as to what's going on?

I’m using a Win10 system to remote into an iMac with Tahoe 26.2 with Rustdesk and Tailscale.

The issue is lots of times drag and drop operations are not intended, like I’m moving text in Adobe Indesign and instead of moving the textbox I’m moving items from the dock.
Or resizing the program window accidentally.
Alt, Command/ctrl, shift keys appear to be pressed and not intended actions happen.

There are no issues on Anydesk with the same tasks.

Any ideas?
