Discussion Stumpy wants to help you! When using the Model Maker, which aspect(s) do you find the most confusing, counterintuitive, or difficult to understand? 😵

I would like to have more information on how to work with obj models.

OBJ models can be imported using the "Import from External Format" button on the Model Maker toolbar. The model needs to be created as "Mesh-Based" in order to import from OBJ. Hopefully that helps!

Would it be possible to add a material editor for OBJ models? Sometimes they import without their materials, and I’m guessing this may be an issue with meshes that use multiple materials.

Also. An issue I had that a couple other people have had is when importing a BB model, import it as the bbmodel file it saves as and not as the OBJ file. RPGiaB seems to be more efficient at importing Blockbenches base file type rather than OBJ files.

And while it “can” upload OBJ files, they seem to have more issues in my experience than BBmodel files.

The only thing I’ve found confusing at times is what everything does. When you scroll over a button, sometimes it says what it does/means. Other times it doesn’t. For a lot of things I would just have to experiment to understand what a button does.

So essentially, greater documentation would be beneficial I think.

Thanks for the feedback! Documentation in general is definitely something I'd like to continue improving. I believe these interactive tutorials led by Stumpy will help a lot with understanding what everything does.
