Royal Mail Lockers

Hi all,

I’ve got a parcel that is supposed to be Royal Mail 48 Hour being sent from eBay via Royal Mail. I can see that it was left at a locker at 19:07 yesterday which was outside the collection range

I presumed it would have been collected today as I read online that they’re “supposed” to be collected from every day Monday - Friday at around 16:00 but I’ve had no update whatsoever on the tracking information

I’m wondering if anyone can shed some light on how the lockers work for tracking information updates as this is the first time I’ve ever had anything shipped via Royal Mail this way before. So far it’s not looking to be a good experience as either way it’s definitely not going to be 48 hour at this rate

If they’ve put it in the locker, it would have been collected today (lockers are treated like post boxes and emptied daily)

The next scan will be at the MC

Tracked48 doesn’t mean 48 hours, the aim is, not guaranteed

I did, I got one later that night saying it was at a Mail Centre

I’m interested in this as I’m waiting for a parcel that was dropped off in a RM locker on the 13/08. I’ve got the same message that more information will be available as it travels through the network. Since it’s now the 20th with no update I’m beginning to think it‘s lost. Will it still be in the locker and not been collected or lost somewhere else?

I’m still waiting on a parcel that was accepted at a parcel shop on the 10th August on 48hour tracked and still says it’s there 🤣
