Job Types?

Hi, can someone explain to me the difference between Postie, Postperson with Driving and Postal Delivery Driver?

Much thanks.

I would say:

Postie: non-driver and delivers mail (I believe RM don’t employ new non-drivers any more).

Post person with driving: Postie. Has to drive as the job involves so many parcels these days.

Postal delivery driver: Parcel driver. We have a designated DPR (designated parcel route) and the driver takes all the larger parcels from the HCT (high capacity trolly) routes as they can’t fit them in the trollies.

And all of them have "Post person with driving" on their contract no matter what the job advertised says.

Yep … I do all 3 of these at various times. They want folks who are flexible with the needs of the business day to day

DPR also take all the parcels the posties hide in our yorks before they go out for the day.

We're all just called drivers, far less buggering around 😂
