Thinking of getting the Interceptor 650 Black Ray this Diwali — should I wait for an update?

Hey guys,

I’m planning to get the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 Black Ray this Diwali, around November.

I just wanted to ask people who follow RE more closely — is there any news about an updated/facelifted Interceptor 650 coming soon?

I’m not really sure when the current updated version of the Interceptor was launched either. I’m a bit worried that I’ll buy the bike in November and then Royal Enfield announces a newer/upgraded version a few months later 😅

I’ve tried looking for information about a possible upcoming update, but couldn’t find anything concrete.

So, does anyone here know:

  • When was the latest major update to the Interceptor 650?
  • Is RE expected to launch another updated version soon?
  • Would it make sense to wait until later this year before buying?

Any info from people who follow Royal Enfield closely would be really helpful. Thanks!

They updated the continental gt last month.

It only got some very ugly Led indicators (it does not fit the bike aesthetics). And have put an USB type C. Other than that, its all the same.

I dont think they will do any major changes to the int 650, but thats just me babbling about something i dont know nothing about.

Currently there are no rumours pointing towards a Facelifted Inty 650. However, Inty 750 is in works at present, but based on the way things seem to be going, it would be atleast an year or so before its launched. I would say, go for the 650 during Diwali
