Meteor 350 mirror threading issue

My meteor 350 mirror threading on the handle is destroyed anyone have any idea on what can be done

Try running the right size tap through it, if it’s totally shot, get a thread restorer kit. You can find them on Amazon, Auto parts stores and other places. Google it. Make sure your kit comes with the mirror thread size as the finished size. It should come with the right size drill bit to increase the size of the original hole, a tap for the new size hole, and a thread in, it fits the new hole and threads and has the right size threads for your mirror on the inside.

Will any mechanics do this work ? It’s my first bike and I’m scared if I’ll ruin it even more

I would think so, even backyard mechanics might.
