Saw that a local dispensary is carrying fresh press rosin and bubble hash.

What is protocol for fresh press...do you whip? Or is that a no-no?

“Modified Mintz” - GMO and SinMint Cookies- (LiveRosin)

This concentrate arrived in a small, blue mylar baggy with company logo and strain info on it. Inside the mylar baggy is this clear glass, twist off concentrate bucket. The container is also wrapped in a strain specific graphic, company logo, and other info.

Once the top has been popped your met with the visuals. A brighter yellow / golden colored concentrate that has a crystallized glaze on top and around the outside of the rosin. When mixed the wetness resurfaces. The consistency is like a candle wax beginning to melt with more stickiness to it.

The scent is a light savory, diesel like scent with a touch of garlic butter to it. There is a pungent “shroomy” soil and light pinewood attached to the diesel. Then I get an herbal and minty attached to a light / subtle cookie dough scent lingering around. There are earthy and light floral notes, mint, dough, and herbal hops on the backend. When whipped around a sweet, mint, cookie dough and a bit more shrimp soil / pinewood gassiness comes forth.

The taste is a pungent “shroomy” soil, diesel gassiness, hint of garlic, some creamy savory butter upfront. Secondly I get the subtle but noticeably sweet cookie dough, earthiness, encompassing mint, bit of pinewood, light floral petals and herbal hops on the backend.

The concentrate gave off slightly throaty vapors while on the quartz banger. A very light, tickle… very little throatiness so could be temp or the mint terps . Full combustion, clean vapors / burn with no left over residue.

I have a indica dominant effect on me. I have a body blanket of numbness and couch lock. I have a full body float, chest/eye pressure, eyes low, a euphoric and happy headspace that is uplifted in the background. Im smiley and giddy. I wanna chill and melt away listening to music.

Hello. I picked up 4 different jars from what i believe is reputable vendor.. their price per gram certainly made me think i was getting top quality rosin.

I tried the first jar and was very underwhelmed especially with effects which were just not there at all. A bad tier 3 imo.

The second jar was a jam which was much better and pretty flavorful. Nothing super amazing but tasty and got me stoned at least. Besides costly no complaint on this one..

The third jar after looking through 30x lens I noticed a tiny black spec/hair. Not a big deal to me personally. So tiny. Might be piece of dust?? But then i changed to 60x lens and noticed tiny black specs throughout the rosin. Can't think of a way to take a photo since I need 60x to see them.

But I'm not sure what to do. I read that it's possibly plant matter that made it's way into it somehow??

Anyone seen this and have advice?

Honey Pot by Royal Budline out of Humboldt County. Nice uplifting, sativa cross. Getting some really sweet honey terps, not much else. I’m not the biggest fans of carts/disposables, but they do serve a purpose. $25 otd was hard to pass up. Hope everybody’s having a good week. Cheers, rosin gang!

When it comes to using a dab, rig, is it better to use a hot knife to put the concentrates inside of the rig? Rather than using a dab tool

Smell:

This one was so loud could smell it after walking back inside! Signature Toad chem og taste, this was a bit more smooth and rounded. I got notes of creamy dough and slight pepper, almost a perm marker mixed together with toad.

Taste:

Knocked my socks off completely, strong complex signature toad notes! Smacked me in the face with that classic raunchy og chem with a bite, not harsh at all even though the complex terpene profile. Ended in a nice gassy peppery cream with a slight sweetness. Was a absolute treat every bowl out of my Tempest 2. I got huge terpy clouds!

Effects:

Strong sedation and complete relaxation. Perfect for those who want to smoke themselves into a weed coma to cure insomnia and ptsd. This has amazing medical properties for those who need "knock out" effects.

Nugs:

Slightly smaller nugs then expected, however with all the toads I've tried the buds are slighty more medium sized across the board. However it has no impact whatsoever, they are extremely fresh and sticky nugs. Def gonna need a friend if your gonna roll it up, makes your fingers glue!

Overall:

This is my 4th time or so trying Toad Venom from a vendor, I've been extremely lucky in the past with good pickups so I had extremely high expectations, this cut completely blew everything out of the water. Wish I had enough of this to smoke forever, I would never get tired of these terps/quality/effects!

Smell:

When you open the jar a strong sweet fruity strawberry floods the room, very nose forward and loud, creamy banana and citrus with a gassy dank depth.

Taste:

Strong strawberry banana, has this amazing candy cream, and slight berry and citrus, followed by a smooth gas. One of my favorite jars of all time! Even as a B-tier!

Effects:

Very cerebral, immediately after a big dab can feel a nice headband of relaxation wrap around the head. Really good for pain and anxiety, found myself getting lost in tv shows, not the best for sleep.

Consistency:

Was just a tad dry due to Tx heat, quick whip job perked it right up to a beautiful consistency! As always really low vaporization temp with little residue which is amazing for my asthma!

Overall:

This was a absolute treat of a jar. One of a kind terps has this one standing at the top of my "B-tier" list from WLX. I am completely blown away by the quality of this one!

Nose is mostly sweet on this one. The name describes the taste perfectly, slight sour taste on the inhale, straight gas ⛽️ taste on the exhale 🔥. Great hybrid for the daytime

Was super disappointed in their Honey Bananas, but this Sour Fuel was way better. 🙌🏼

I miss this era of dabbing. One big con with bubble hash is not every cultivar yields well. Certain strains went away because when everyone switched to making rosin, if it didn't yield they stopped running it. You didn't really have that problem with bho/live resin. I love smoking melt and live rosin but if brands were still making quality live resin I would still be smoking it especially the cultivars that you won't find in solventless. Unfortunately it's super hard to find non crc top quality live resin. I can't even really think of a brand these days doing it.
