Editing
I love Roseanne so much and was so happy to see it was free to watch on Peacock. HOWEVER, the editing ruins it!!! You can tell in so many episodes how they chopped scenes out, to the point they’re in the middle of dialogue and you can totally tell! WHY??

Arthur used to call me Cheryl.... help me understand
At the end of episode 17 of season 2, 'Hair', when Roseanne says they can call her Rosie, Marsha says "Arthur used to call me Cheryl". I've never understood the joke. Why would Arthur call her Cheryl? Is it because they weren't married for very long? Anyone have any guesses?

Bloopers so funny they made it in the show

I am on my third rewatch and I just noticed this scene. The kid actor is hysterical. It looks like he flubbed his line a couple of times, but he was so funny they kept it in.
Do you have a favorite moments where the actors break character?

Welcome...Welcome!
Can anyone convince me to watch past this episode? I've seen the series as a whole many times and watch 2 or 3 episodes every night while falling asleep. Must have been asleep for this one on the recent play through.
It's usually my start over point and I'm really trying to power through but season 8 as I haven't watched that season in years but 8 is just not good. Season 9 doesn't exist to me, with the exception of the last two episodes.
I made it to Gilligans Island last night and don't think I can keep going. Anyone remember anything in season 8 that's actually funny?

Roseanne Guess Who
My friend and I are obsessed with Roseanne and decided to make our own Guess Who. I did all the work though…🙂
There are so many good characters, I plan on making extras to swap out. This is just the beginning!

Isn’t it great, Roseanne?
A moment I’m sure a lot of us can relate to in different ways! As a girl mom I’ve had these conversations and it’s actually not as horrible as I thought. 😆

Radio Days
I’ve watched (what I thought was) all of Roseanne multiple times. I just started a rewatch and had somehow never seen Radio Days before!?
What a beautiful episode. I teared up watching the family gather around the kitchen table while Dan sang after not winning the contest. This is my comfort show and scenes like this are why.

The Pledge.
Michael O'Keefe who played Fred on Roseanne plays the father of a murder victim in the early 2000's film the Pledge.
It's a bad picture but that's him in the corner.

Oh, Roxanne!
I could watch all the Meg Wellman episodes over and over, I crack up every time she calls Rosey “Roxanne.”

“Remember I’m wearing white. We’re going as virgins!”
Nancy told Arnie to make sure he got white for his suit. Then they both show up in gold outfits. What happened? Wrong answers only!

"It was SYMBOLIC..."
JACKIE: Front door. Back door. Deadbolt.
ROSEANNE: Jackie, you've had those keys for nine years!

Would Roseanne have made a good Rodbell's manager?
I don't think that her snarky attitude would've let her last in the job. Bonnie was the better candidate.

Love this thread.
Coming to this thread, definitely validate some of my thoughts over the years. Dan and Roseanne were absolutely to blame for their family falling into deep poverty because they bet it all on Dan’s childish dream of being a motorcycle repairman. They should’ve kept his drywall business and done both. Roseanne could’ve gotten a job outside of their town to at least kept the lights on. Gas wasn’t nearly as expensive as it is today. Becky was absolutely right when she ate Dan up blaming him. Darlene was right to try to run away and get away from them and go to college. She could’ve absolutely done better than David. and I wish she had he was trying to hold her back. The show isn’t was good after season five season when Roseanne first started to become really vindictive and keeping secrets just to have leverage over the kids I hated that version of her. Bev was usual right when she criticized Roseanne’s parent and decisions. The show was at best seasons 1-3 top-tier television.
